Grandma
Ingo came back from work and insisted to go and visit his Grandma.
It sure was worth it!!!
To see the huge smile and get the big hug she gave us ("my children", she always says)!
She thought I´d been to Braunschweig already and we won´t be visiting before Monday in two weeks. She´d locked the house already and, surprise - got visitors!
In return we got a very happy person and self-made socks.
Before I joined the family, socks were boring. When I was in the family long enough to belong to, Ingo´s Grandma wanted to make socks for me, too. The wool wasn´t enough and she had to take some different one for heels and toes - first patch-work socks for her.
I loved them and since then she takes the challenge to make the coolest socks of well-sortet rests of wool whatsoever! For me and Ingo only. The rest of the family doesn´t like it.
And she surely loves our "oooh´s and aaaah-how beautiful´s"! :-)
She also asked about the meet-up with the people I know "from the internet" - which is still a frightening thing for her. Yet - she shows interest! Cool lady! Still no pic from her, sorry!

Wow, I've mentioned meetup to my grandparents but I'm really aware that they might suddenly think 'omg, she meets strangers at the pub through the internet!' I don't want them to worry. :-) Lucky Ingo's grandma has you two to keep her sock-making interesting!
Deanne, yes, I look foreward to the next pair of socks! :-)
She sorts all rests and puts them on the floor to see how to join them - she is 85 already and is on her knees for it, unbelievable!
But with the internet... yes, she still thinks it´s something illegal... yet - she is interested. A role model, she is to me :-)
