Yes Man
Am just watching Yes Man - and I love it!
Note to Ingo: It often is worth to watch a movie cause you like one of the actors. Most actors stick to their quality, ya know?!
(there may be exceptions, sure, but you never know if you don´t give it a go)
I will never ever say yes to "You want to learn how to fly?" or "Do you want a Persian Woman?"
But. Maybe I should say yes more often. To the unknown (apart from food!).
Will there be a happy ending in the movie? No idea.
But when I saw on Wiki the original title, I was reminded of our holiday in Jamaica.. Ya Man! A very positive attitude to say "hello".
Yes. I´m watching this translated to German, I have no choice.
Title: "Der Ja-Sager".
A "Ja-Sager" is a synonym in German (only?) for a loser. A complete loser.
Very negative.
That fast you get Lost in Translation, huh?
Weird, no?!
I am no "Ja-Sager", but I´ll try to say "Yes" more often.
And hope there is a happy ending to this movie.
That I watch with only 60% eyesight due to my band-aids. Have been to the doc today.
60%. Does it make sense to work 8 hours at the PC with that?! Is it reasonable?
Knowing this makes it no better! For more than a week still, gah! (I said ok to this, not "yes" ;-)...)
Addendum
As I walked to the red lights on the way to the doc - I am not supposed to use the push-bike due to my eyes/cold air - there was a man in wheelchair.
I was thinking... he´s too far away from the road to have the need to cross it - what´s he doin???!
He was pretty much in the way, though.
I slipped by.
Wondering if I should ask...? Huh? Guess he was from Turkey. Had his shoes tied on the "chair", they were slippers. We have -C (minus!).
I heard him saying, "hello?", turned around. he asked me if I can help him across the street?
Um, yes.
Felt so guilty! The chair was... not clean, so to speak. He spoke German, though! Turkish accent, but German, understandable.
He asked if I can take him to the castle, which is a shopping mall now.
Was my way, but heck! I had a doc´s appointment!
I said sorry, meant sorry, felt guilty and hoped another one will be like me just with more time...
Felt sorry and or guilty the whole way.
A brave person would´ve asked!
What happened, where do you stay, where are your guys, do you have someone - can I help?
Or... was this a fake?
I´ll never know. We live in such a weird, fast, world.
Oh. Fast. I waited over an hour at the doc... I really could´ve said "yes"...
