Recycled FFO And An Attempt To Smile

Moin, Moin, Kinners*, it´s me again, Käpt’n Blaubär

*Moin is Frisian for simply "hello". Don´s answer that - as I did - with "Good morning". It was in the arvo, too, when someone from Volkswagen Emden called me at work back then.
Kinners are children. Oh, come on, feel a tad young today, OK?

It´s still way too cold with but 6C/42F, so, ... tea-time!

With these two I join Nicole´s FFO and with the ole tea Bluebeard and Elizabeth with recycling.
Let´s also try to join Annie with Smiles...
Not really easy this week with being on holidays in shitty weather and a useless arm - how I tore the muscle? In my sleep. It will take time, says Ingo (and the doc, too).
I am to rest the whole body - and wanted sooooo much to do.
But things could be worse, this is but a "little thing".

Stomaches I know as "little" about... It´s my last day of holiday and I wanted to sleep in (what else to do with that arm and the weather?). Yet...

Shortly after 09:00 am I heard the door.
Yes. Ingo. Sick.

We had the last bit of the Soljanka we made on Sat. Yum. All fine, smelled good, tasted good. And thanks to my Father´s genes, all OK.
Ingo... gave it all away at work. It wasn´t a needle, it was the Soljanka.

Please hope Ingo recovers soon. And can smile...

Even in German this would be very impolite, yet many really say this.
I mean, call me old fashioned. I ask for the soup I do not command. And I always end with a "please", too. Did hurt no one so far.

Tea, anyone? With milk?

Henry 🦁

For the future: Food good for Ingo - 3 days max.
Let´s hope for a nice weekend!

I just wrote a comment and the internet bleeped out for a minute and I lost my comment-grrrrr. I am loving this Capt'n Blaubar. He looks like a great children's character. And very cool blue cow too. This is a perfect journal page for Bleubeard's and Elizabeth's challenge. Thanks for joining us and have a great start to the weekend. hugs-Erika

Oh, don´t you hate when this happens. I usually save comments in "notepad".
Especially since once my Brother, who´s English is... not good... called me on the phone, furious, because this happened, LOL.
This tea is really very yummy, especially with milk! The Captain says thank you - and despite he tells the biggest, funny lies to his three nephews he gives you an honest hug!

Moin, moin. I haven't had my first cup of tea yet, so tea, please. With milk and 1 sugar, please. I hope you and Ingo feel better soon.

Moin, Moin. CJ! Thank you, yes, can hopefully only get better...

And moin, moin to you too! I do hope you will both be better soon. Your arm will probably take a bit longer.

I was thinking how fun the bear is, and then I saw the cow! What a fun artwork..

...does the blue cow give blue milk?

Very good art Iris! Sorry about the torn muscle, and on vacation too.

Iris Flavia said...

Gene, both say thank you :-) And help in cold weather!

____

Tom, hmmm... looks purple with the tea! Like... really!

____

Christine, thank you. If I grab the bad I grab it fully.
But I think Ingo is off even worse. And I can do nothing to help.

Hoping you are both better soon and can enjoy life again.

Thank you, Annie.
Life sometimes sucks, huh? Hugs and to better times x

Good grief. What a bummer of a vacation -- and now Ingo, too. Oh Iris, I'm so sorry. Well, at least you could relax, which is good... but not exactly how you want to spend ALL your time off! Get well soon -- and Ingo, too.

Hello to you too Iris. Your arm might be a small problem but I bet you're finding it difficult to do what you would like to do. Hope it's better soon. Hugs, Angela xXx

Hope Ingo recovers soon, and you, too. As for tea, I prefer it cold without milk. Iced Tea, yummy.

Iris Flavia said...

Jeanie, my Mum would say, "anyone as he/she deserves!".
Well. You have to take it with humor. Ingo is more my concern.. He´s asleep...

____

Angela, yes, it´s not fair. That´s life, though? Hugs xXx...

gigi, iced Tea... come summer, brrr, too cold now!

Ohh sorry that Ingo is sick. I hope he is better by now and that your arm is better too. I always get a happy feeling with your art. You have a way of making me and many others feel joy. Take care of yourselves and thank you for joining FFO.

Iris Flavia said...

Nicole, thank you very, very much! Ingo is asleep, but making others feel joy sure brings me joy!!!

I hope Ingo feels better after being sick and then you don't have to worry about him and can pay attention to your arm. You poor things.

Soup from last Saturday?? No no no, not a good idea. When I make soup I always have one serve for dinner, and the rest gets frozen in individual portions, that way it stays safe to eat on a later day. And even then I make sure it boils for at least one minute. Soup can be tricky, it looks okay, it smells okay, it tastes okay, but can still be bad.

love the little character and the bñlue cow. A fun picture.
Sorry ingor has an upset stomach. Hope all is well again soon.
Neighbours who don't respect weekends are a pain.
Hope your arm is soon in good working order. It is so frustrating to not be able to do what you want. Kate x

You have been very productive for someone with only one arm and a sick Ingo ... Nothing seems to slow you down :) Yes, please and thank you are a must ... a way of showing respect to others which, sadly, doesn't seem to happen much anymore. Hope you and Inga a feeling better soon ...
