FFO This Week

With her I join Nicole´s FFO and Gillena - hop over for FUN MUSIC!!!
I can hardly type, dancing!!!

Woke up and thought., nooo, forgot it´s Friday!
The Webinar threw me off line, so... sorry, this is an early 05:-something morning-sketch!
Hehe off line, not offline...
In the webinar I had to have the camera on all the time and saw, hups, do I have shoulders at all? My doc said I have a "big back" - on the cam I looked like a kiddo.

As kid I was blonde, so maybe this is an attempt for Nicole´s self-portrait, my eyes are grey-green.... Blends in great with the beautiful 1970´s interior (I really loved it... and you see no colors at all... 1970´s...).

Did you bathe in showers or sinks, too? Later, put the next one in!

To make you smile:

And some funnies:

We thankfully have a Miele...

Kidding - I HATE clowns and no one could make do this but for Ingo (maybe)...

 Three times is enough!
Twice was here in Braunschweig - first time:

In Australia´s Outback (no wear). We saw no one for two days.
Both of us stripped naked to take a solar shower from our roof - a black bag filled with water and an appliance like a shower head -  and BÄHM - Roadtrain.
He honked three times - I guess (that was 1999).
What are the odds?

"Our everyday objects and their unusual origin stories

 Chimney

While contemporary fireplaces primarily serve a decorative purpose, this hearth was once an important source of warmth and light. Great care was taken to ensure the fire never went out, and some are said to have burned for generations."

My Chimney, pressie from... guess... Ingo.
On top: Anglerfish from Freo´s museum WAM

 Fish, Roo, fish...

Happy Friday. I remember staying with cousins. Their only source of heat was a fireplace. My oldest cousin cot up early to start the fire and warm the house before everyone else got out of bed.

Nice face and awwww, what a sweetie you were. That is an adorable photo of you in the bubbles. I used to get baths with my brother too. So long ago. And I also hate clowns. They are the scariest things. Ha ha to star trek too. I hope you're having a good Friday. And are you glad it's FRiday? hugs-Erika

I love this art, green eye'd girl. You need to save your self portrait for the 28th, ha ha so now you need to make another one. LOL Your childhood photos are beautiful. There were 6 of so bath time was a chore for my mom. The babies got the sink, the older kids all shared the tub. Ohhh I too have a big back, my daughter too. What's with that? LOL I really like survive 259 mph crash meme. I so want one of those fire place heaters you have. Henry looks nice and warm. Thank you for joining FFO and have a very nice weekend.

I don't remember if we were bathed in the sink when we were babies, but I do remember a big zinc laundry tub/basin thing that Mum used to do her washing in with one of those wood and glass rippled washboards. Every Saturday that tub would be placed in front of the open fire and filled with hot water from two giant soup pots boiled on the stove and we kids would each take a turn getting washed and dried. Later Dad built a bathroom by closing off part of the back porch and we three kids all got in the tub together to save water I guess, until Mum and the siblings left and after that I had the bathtub all to myself every week.
That music sure was fun and had me "dancing" in my chair.

P.S. I love your little chimney and wonder where Ingo bought it, maybe I could find one for myself.

You´re welcome, RedPat - actually this is my goal: enjoy :-)

That´s great, Cheers!

Oh, I hope I can do it Nicole, faces to me are complicated to sketch!!!
Weee, six, that sure must´ve been a fun-yelling-time!

Iris Flavia said...

I sure will have a look - but please understand I have a very important presentation coming on.
I´ll give my best in all places!

Iris Flavia said...

I´ll bubble away in the shower, Tom :-)

Iris Flavia said...

Actually it even wasn´t but then I thought, aw, well, as Nicole said, I´ll have to try again!

Iris Flavia said...

Hehe, yes, fun - to a great weekend, hugs to you and the lake!

Iris Flavia said...

Well, as a "Wessie" I was not so fond of this ;-)

Iris Flavia said...

I love making people happy :-)

Iris Flavia said...

Oh, boy, this sounds so complicated - your Mum sure ... wow!
And look at kids today... All the "luxury"!

Iris Flavia said...

Hope you found PEARL,... or similar.

Iris Flavia said...

Do, at least you can (mine passed 2011) - it will bring back memories to both of you :-)

Iris Flavia said...

Danke, oh, also Niedersachsen ist etwas doppeldeutig! Huchjeh! ;-) Wir hatten in meiner Heimatstadt nie eine Badewanne!
