HO-HO-HO! Oh, Dammit, Janet!

The bell rang - the postie was here yesterday, Ingo got it.
Was for me.

There was no note "from Santa" or such!!!!
So I opened - it was from Santa!!

 Thank you, River!!!

Also!! Thank you for mentioning Ingo first!
Here we have a huge debate since decades about this subject and I am just like you!

What did I find in the horribly expensive envelope (really, what do they do to us with the taxes?!).

Irony, I know. I´ll read this sad book on the swing! And tell you what! It will make me feel even more grateful for what we have! It will "burn down" even more! Be more humble...

Maybe some of you remember I had the series on this from the internet.
Now I will dive in deeper - and there was more!

I told myself to NOT.

Wait till January 1st!!!

I could not.
Let me present you the COOLEST calendar I EVER got!

I made a happy dance (in my mind)!!!!
Ran over to Ingo!

Sad Grace does not blog anymore, she´d just bend her head down and say, no.
Her daughter and I ... "there is a The-Simpsons-episode on that".
When we met all ran away ;-)

The COOLEST  calendar ever!

and bite and bite, bite, bite, bite, bite bite.... Itchy and Scratchy, of course ...
I could not help myself I went all through! I felt like a kid, cheating!
Here is an example, so cool:

I´ll let you know, I promise - all THE events!

Certainly. The Simpsons! Created by Scientists and Engineers. WOW.
I have not seen this here!

Thank you River - you made more than my day!!!

Baby Henry 🦁

We´ll share!!!
P.S. With Janet I refer to The Rocky Horror Picture Show - it just came to my mind...

Good morning Iris, I love your christmas card-I just ordered a set of vintage christmas postcards that I am going to mail out this year instead of cards. I usually buy cards from artists on etsy but they are more expensive this year-the postage on a postcard is almost 10 cents less than a letter or card-so like that too-smiles
happy new week hugs from the lake

Dear Kathy, yes, oh, we´ll freeze our butts off and River... she´s in summer! Hence Santa in "flip flops" or thongs! At least we all get the decorations, the lights, the magic! Hugs to you and the lake and yes... Christmas cards... in the making! Or... in the buying...

I do enjoy christmas cards here in the states most people no longer send them out but I have always enjoyed it-especially now since we rarely see people any more

Fun Christmas card. Santa on the beach. Wonderful gifts from you friend. The calendar will certainly be fun through the year. I do man's name first if I'm using the surname. Iris and Ingo Surname. A man's first name is never separated from his surname. Or so I learned in some archaic etiquette book. Man first, woman next. Woman first, man next. Tomato, tomahto. 😉 Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

I'm not a Christmas person! The beach and flip flops would work for me.

How fun to get happy mail. and you are right about how that book will make you feel. We are all so lucky (well maybe not all the people of the world, but at least us with internet and who blog) but it is easy to forget, isn't it? Happy rest of your weekend. Hugs-Erika

Yes, super-surprise that was!!!
Ingo "forgot" to take my surname when we got married... So he has still his! And uses mine none-the-less - cause it´s easier 😁
Well, works, too - to a great Sunday!

Yes, it's that time of year again, the ‘stade’ period, as we call it here in Bavaria. And you're ahead of the game! Yes, why not? Our decorations will be up throughout the house until mid- or late February.

It's certainly a charming card.

Greetings by Heidrun ❤️

I KNEW you would love the calendar, I saw it when I was shopping online for my own 2026 calendar and bought the two together. I have the skulls again next year. I sent early in case things got held up going through German Customs, I wanted you to have it before you came to Perth.
Parts of the book made me so angry at the way people were treated back then and even now some are still badly treated, in all countries.

Yes, especially... I don´t think you find that calendar here in Germany!!!! LOL, that makes calendar #5! I thank you so much and yes, reckon I´ll get angry reading the book, too! Are we lucky to live today and where we do...
