Today I join Rain´s Thursday Art and Dinner Date with "Pumpkin Pie".
We made Aussie Meat Pies sometimes, see here, if you like.
But it takes forever, so I look forward to Perth as Germany is the land of no Pies!
Magnetic tape
Perhaps you still have some treasured old cassette tapes lying around. The magnetic tape inside was a highly sought-after commodity when it was first created! It was developed by the Nazis to record and rebroadcast their radio addresses. When the war ended, the Allies took the technology out of Germany and sold it commercially."
Hm. Didn´t know that!

Dear friend Iris, I ❤️ the pumpkin pie 🥧 drawing and the meat pie 🥧 looks delicious. Henry is playful. Sending you much ❤️ and warm 🫂 🤗
I see faces! Actually: I see a face!
I did not know that about the tape cassettes. I went back and read about your first pie experience, I can't believe I didn't follow your blog back then, it was only eleven years ago. One thing I don't like about the pie maker machines is the base of the pies is too small while the tops are too wide.
Dear friend Linda, thank you! Also from Henry!!Much love and warm hugs back, especially warm - sitting here with two sweaters, my warmie-tiger and have hot tea 🥰
I had to search and: You are right, I see it, too, but really only after searching!
Crazy about the tape! I admit, we haven´t used the pie maker in ages. And with Perth so close now maybe won´t. Or, will we? It´s a British one.
Henry is most adorable.
...pumpkin pie is a favorite.
Luscious pies today Iris!
Too precious to eat, though!
I never had one... land of no pie, if similar it´s always sweet...
The real one was small, actually, Christine.
Just this week I found a box that I had packed away years ago that had 4 brand new cassette tapes still in the wrapper.
Love Henry today - too nice to cut into it.
Fun coincidence, RedPat, and yes, I would never cut such a beautiful cake!

I don't think I could cut the cake.
Thank you, Maria and a great rest of the week for you!
