I agree Ukraine should be part of the EU and I wish the fighting would stop so that can happen. I think country "at war" isn't allowed to join and maybe that is why Putin keeps the war going?

You can love people but not like everything they believe. It's not a deal-breaker but sometimes it makes it hard. Every country has corrupt people. That doesn't always make the country corrupt. Like you, I support Ukraine in this war and their desire to be part of NATO. They are trying so very hard with so little.
I think Russia is trying to get back when they lost during ww 2-not acceptable of course. Ukraine needs a different president for sure-have seen articles that he is making lots of money from this war

I had heard there were rebels in Russia going against Putin, but did not know how many. Hooray for them. I hope he learns soon that his own people wish the war to end.
So glad to see that some people understand what's going on in Ukraine. There are evidence that since 2022 Zelensky have bought a lot of land in Ohio, Wyoming, etc ... not to mention of his mansions in Florida (U.S.) and Tuscany ( Italy). I hope he will be judged by his own people.
In the meanwhile, we, EU'S taxpayers, still continue to send money to the Kyiv's corrupt system.
Ukraine amended its constitution in 2019 to include joining NATO and the EU as strategic goals ... it's easy to understand who was behind those amendments, considering that in 2014 the democratic elected president, Viktor Yanukovyc, was ovethrown.
I agree with River, as countires "at war" aren't allowed to join NATO. That's why Israel is not a NATO member yet.

I just wish we could stop all wars and just be fine with each other, help and respect one another... But unlikely that happens.
