Thank You, Buddy
... or rather body, maybe that´s the same?
Oh, my. Just went to our little pharmacy (certainly my med had arrived and certainly they forgot to e-mail me...).
The woman at the counter is my age.
The shivering of her hands was not as worse as it was last time, but still very visible.
Parkinson?
My colleague O is in his 50s.
He´s shivering badly, not just the hands, the whole body. He can´t drive his car anymore. In the last meeting he sat at my side and tried to pick up a pen.
I nearly cried.
I know he´s got Parkinson.
Am I thankful I´m so healthy.
I had a headache for several hours yesterday and also today (the reason I went to the pharmacy), but, my, that´s really nothing.
It freaks me out to think what can happen.
I broke my arm, I broke my foot, I had migraine, I´m a bad sleeper, I have a headache - so what?
I am healthy!!!
I tend to take that for granted.
Now my head hurts even more.
I must try to be more thankful for what I got here!
The pic?
Hard boiled eggs, first try - not too bad, huh?
And that´s not Hello Kitty - that´s the Easter Bunny and a fresh one will go to little Niece soon.
The board itself... was a pressie for my Mum, who loved fried eggs.
As did my Dad.
One time he had to get up really early.
He went into the kitchen, took a pan that was filled with water - and detergent, emptied it and made a fried egg.
Thought, tastes strange, ate it up, hopped in the car, got sick, stopped, puked, went back in, drove to his meeting.
I got his genes - I can´t cook and my stomach is strong :-)
Hope the rest stays strong, too. Please keep being my buddy, body.

You're right Iris, sometimes it takes seeing someone in a difficult sate healthwise to realize just how lucky we are. Look after yourself and stay healthy :)
ReplyDeleteYou, too, Grace, we´re some lucky gals so far, huh :-)
