I Broke A Banana

Ingo takes a banana to work each day. Two were left and so ripe one broke when I divided them.

Oh, noooo.
What to do?!

Bread with sliced banana and cinnamon for brekkie. Nah, too sweet!
I bought milk, but...

For lunch I still had cauliflower.
In the pan, with ground tumeric, Garam Masala and spicy Madras curry.
Oh, and a beaten egg (with salt and pepper) ready to go in, too.
Sooo yellow.
And the banana looked at me...

Not too sweet, but yum!
Guess where the other half banana goes in today for lunch? :-)

No receipe, but when it´s just for myself I like to experiment.
Sadly Ingo could not have tried as I used oil to fry it all in. I just can´t stand the smell of lard or butter-oil.
Is there a better alternative to oil?

  1. I like bananas in pancakes. Hope you find an oil that smells better.

  2. Thank you. No, it´s not about the smell - hubby cannot digest hot oil, his pancreas is near to no use anymore...

  3. Hi Iris, have you tried Coconut oil, it's sweet smelling.
Not sure, but shouldn't high sugar fruits be avoided for pancreas problems? The pancreas is where sugars are processed, so the more sugar content the worse it should be?

  4. Hmm, Sami, I think Ingo cannot have any hot oil altogether.
And I tried cocnut oil for myself and found it too sweet.
It´s all kinda crazy anyways - Ingo can - and just yesterday did - eat currywurst and fries! They are made in oil, right? Our doctor couldn´t believe it.
