I Feel Good (Not)

I´m no princess.
Yet, when we were at rossmann and I saw some cheapy powder Ingo bought it for me, with the thingy you see above.

I don´t really know how to use it. Or if I need or want it.

Ingo got a "surprise bag" from the bakery, sesame and poppy seeds were in there on the rolls.

He bought me a pizza.

I thought long about posting this.
But I think I should.

Citalopram, Opipram, all those anti-depressive stuff makes you... no - CAN - make you depressive and mean. Unfair.

Not able to manage "the important" things, your mail from insurances and all. Which makes you angry.
About yourself, them and finally you (ME!!!) cannot appreciate your partner´s effords.

Do not take this stuff.

Or:

Do say NO once you understand it does not help you.
Yes, you have to try say... 3 weeks, but if it does not help, then your brain does not want to be tricked.

Your brain knows better - do not listen to "doctors".
Who never took the drug. Who just do not know. I don´t wanna speak bad about doctors, I have great ones.
But when you call more than three times saying you cannot take the med and the convince you to carry on (cause they make money like this, I don´t know)- that´s not right. And that is what happened to me.

I lost the best, hot summer to Citalopram.

I was sportive and then like a 90-year old.

Ingo, I am so sorry.

I hope to find my way back, fully.
To normal. To life, love and work.
And Ingo is #1 on the list.

Don´t take meds when your brain says no...

How do I use powder and that... oh, I´ll try and see...
I hope people let others know how medication can MAKE you sick and how some (like NameSis) don´t understand and suggest "just do". And make you feel even weaker and like a looser who has no right to be like this but it´s not YOU but the MEDICATION.
My T said he feels depressive but he refuses meds in the first place - wise man.

I´m sorry, Ingo.
It wasn´t me.

  2. The doctors will keep telling you.
You say no, they say "keep trying".
    Don´t.
    Listen to your brain.
    It´s really not funny.
You´re like a monster and just sit, waiting till you can go to sleep.
But your brain, it worries. The future!!! Insurance!!! Money!! Work!!! Like a carousel.

  3. All the side-effects. Being tired, gagging, feeling cold in summer. Not being able to do anything. It´s horrible.
    You are bad.
    To you, to your family.
Half of Germany runs around with the drug, the stupid Doc said.
Well. What can you say to that.

  5. You are right. You have a choice. Take it or leave it. Doctors nowadays are not known to follow the Hippocratic oath. They worship the Lord of wealth only. Unfortunate.Just a couple of months back I refused a procedure and stood my ground and insisted on being discharged from the Hospital. Am good now.

    Take care. Best wishes always.

  6. You stick to your guns Iris, if you feel like the medication is wrong for you refuse to take it, no one knows your body and mind like you do! As you say, unless they are talking the meds too the doctors have no idea what it feels like, very different from their medical textbooks! You take care and I'm sure Ingo understands, these things are temporary, things will soon get back to normal xox

  10. I have had to take new medication recently and like you was not happy with the effect. With the doctor's agreement I tried going off it but the condition was worse than the cure. So I started taking it again and after another couple of months found my body "accepted" the change and I now feel normal.

It was like that when I started on blood pressure medication too. I felt every adverse effect on the list but once I got my mind around it and stopped worrying things settled down.

I hope you can find similar equilibrium sometime soon.

  11. I don´t know what to do, to be honest. Months??? I think I´m "too healthy" for this?
I do hope to find a "good job" as a cure...
But thank you for being this honest!
