Autumn is here, Chestnuts go naked now (brrr - to be fair: Ingo thinks this is a special chestnut, though... what is the point in not getting undressed (when you´re a chestnut)).
Anyhows, Autumn shows his (beautiful) face:

Why I put "beautiful" into "()"?
Spring and especially Summer, those are the times I am happy.
Yet... I certainly love rain and Autumn promises (and really gives it), too.
Soon (?) Christmas lights will make this darn time of the year a little easier.
Maybe even romantic - do you decorate?
Either way...
And even the Lion of the day says so!

I never knew chestnuts looked like anything other than nude until I saw some recently that were still "dressed."
ReplyDeleteI love spring and autumn, but hate summer. I even like winter over summer. You can always add layers, but you can't remove too much and go out in public without being jailed for indecency. Also, in spring and autumn, you don't use as much electricity as you do in summer and winter to keep cool and warm. So, those months are good for our planet, too (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it)!
I decorate for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving (the third Thursday in November in my country). I take everything down the day after Christmas. I'm so tired of seeing all that stuff by then, I'm ready to get rid of it.
Personally, I'd rather see Christmas colors in spring flowers. Hope your day is cheery and bright and your lion isn't TOO insistent.

ReplyDeleteWe live first floor, which means the cellar is right beneath and in winter hence it get´s really cold.
I have to admit we have some Christmas stuff all year round, as we have a condo in red-green. So we do not decorate.
We did, years ago, but having no children it makes no sense...

We decorate (a little bit) but not until 1 December and all down by 1 January. We have not kids either but decorating brings a little of childish delight to Christmas.
