Another woman went, "OHHHH, SWEEEEEETIE!!!" and tried to pet the possum.
Yah, no. Wild animal, scratched her.
"BAD YOU, BAAAAD", she yelled.

Respect, huh. (OK, they don´t have it, but then... we come into their place!)

The possum is cute, I would not feed or try to pet the wild critters.

ReplyDeleteLuckily it didn´t like "healthy" stuff and the rest was eaten by us.... but yes, others fed them white bread!

ReplyDeletemanche Leute haben komplett das Bewusstsein dafür verloren, dass Wildtiere „WILD“ sind 🐅🦁. Die steigen dann auch bei Safaris aus – und werden prompt von einer Raubkatze angegriffen. Wenn sie dann noch denken könnten, würde es wohl „Böser Tiger!“ oder „Böser Löwe!“ heißen 😅. Ich habe das Faultier auf dem ersten Foto auch gleich erkannt 🦥. Und ja, wenn Tiere nicht fotografiert werden wollen, können sie echt flink sein! Mit Possums 🐾 habe ich bisher nur Erfahrungen in Sanctuaries hinter Gittern gesammelt.

Liebe Traude, ja, die sind dann immer "böse", diese Tiere - es muss dumme Menschen geben.... Davon ab... sind wir nicht doch irgendwie alle ein bisschen gleich? ICh würde wohl nicht meinen Kopf in ne Dose stecken, aber hmmmmm... riecht gut, probieren!
DeleteIch musste so lachen, die Frau hat das bestimmt gehört, aber ehrlich, ein Possum streicheln wollen - kann nur schief gehen....
Ein Wallaby hat mich mal "bedroht", das hat mir gereicht - und ich hatte NIX zu essen!

DeleteThe first photo looks like a fat tree branch, but I'll believe you saying it is a sloth. The possums are pretty, I have never seen brown ones. Ours here in SA are grey and destroy gardens, scamper across roof and hang in trees leaving droppings all over footpaths. I hate them. Why do some people think wild animals can be petted?
ReplyDeleteYes, I think fK tried to trick me, but, haha, no! (She said she was in a zoo). You have grey possums?! And yes, same, she went into everything and did you notice the gas-lamp right by?! Huhhhh, I was alert.

On the other hand... it was a National Park and the possum knew people.
