Ja. Dad Never Learned

I found old data-CDs and make a clean up atm.
Amongst it the old 8mm-films that were converted for video that Ingo converted to mp3 - ages ago.
I totally forgot about them!

What a treasure to re-find!

Above you see my Mum snap a short "Ja." on the question if she wants to marry my Dad - well, I guess - all this came without sound back then!

Next scene me already, yes 5th month pregant at wedding day!

But I made myself small, preventing people speaking of a "scandal":

5 months pregnant with Bro Mum looked quite bigger (boys, huh? Always need so much space! ;-)...)
My Dad really took his time for me the first years.

So much foto- and film-material of me. My Bro... not a third of it.

I couldn´t even walk by myself...

(Awwww, those chairs! I guess they´re in the attic still. I really, really want one! Next time I´m there I have to think of looking for them. 35 years in the attic, though...)

Well, I couldn´t walk yet, but Dad showed me how to use a phone:

(The wallpaper! Oh, look at that wallpaper!!!! Looove it! And the sofa! We still have it - if only I had the space! It´s safe in the house!)

A few days later they found me having the phone saying "Haai, haaai".
At first they thought I´m babbling to myself till Dad thought, hmmm. "haai" isn´t that "yes" in Chinese?

He was right. The bill was a "tad" higher that month!

And no, Dad never learned.
This is our first BMW:

Our third one was grey.
When I was 14 he taught me how to drive this manual.

My Mum was very fair.
Dad got all the screaming, not me, for (certainly) taking the car for a ride when my Mum let me wait endlessly with the keys, chatting with her friend...

Poor Bro got no driver´s lessons from Dad.
So.
Let´s say Dad´d learned after all, huh?
