Monday: Went to Ingo´s doc, he sent me to hospital with with that tummy. Said I have an app at the dentist the next morning, "OK".

Tuesday: Dentist had a look, polished the sharp tooth all is fine! But I crunch my teeth, hence I need braces for the night.  The smallest tool was still actually too big, what else.
Denstist assumed the OP can be done outpatient, haha.
Took a taxi to HEH, Nice driver, at HEH, everybody super-friendly, bed neighbor very chattery, loved to talk about her travels throughout Australia, Mexico and wow she had visited places! Surprise dinner: Instead of butter I got jam aw, well.

 

 

Wednesday: They punctuated my stomach.Some whopping 2.6 l came out the rest via meds. One carer passing my bed: "Oh, the Kaiserin!!" (female version of Emperor). Last time Someone called me like that was 23 years ago, the trainee at VW. He always stormed my office, "Meine Kaiserin!"

Thursday: CT-scan and gastroscopy. They are great here, explained it all and suddenly I woke and it was done!

"Drink less!!!" 

 

Friday: they wanted to puncture again, but it was not enough water, so Meds and infusions - that is "normal procedure".

The Department Physician came by to explain the procedure of Colon Cancer Screening I get on Monday, I said "Monday?  As my bed-neighbor? We have but one loo..." He went a bit pale, LOL, Hope he finds a solution.

Why Colon Cancer Screening? I am that age and since years FIL and Ingo go on my nerves with that. Now that I am here  anyways... it was easier to have it done!

Now I cannot see. Sooooo many meds! The nice nurse, Doreen, went to find an eye-doctor! He thinks it might be too little potassium and not to worry...Have I mentioned HEH is great?

And I was in the little park - with an ice-cream!

 

Later carers tried my venes here and there, oh, sorry, once more.... argh.
Another chief physician popped through, stopped cold, "I have the very kindle you´ve got, in that lovely color!, and gave me  a huge smile #how to win doctors over ;-)

Weekend:
Saturday: Just pills, no infusion, Carer comes in, grabs my leg, "all OK."
Belly: swollen :-( Urine still does not find it´s correct way.
Hot, hot shower and the doors stayed closed! Here is chaos.

Sunday: First set of laxatives, 1\2 l mixed with 1\2 l water, One toilet... we managed,

Again an adult-portion :-(

What a week. And no: No pain at all. They never understood!!!

The recommendation is Japanese rice bowl with grilled salmon, salad, avocado and fried onions...

T STands for BirThday

With this I join Elizabeth´s T (my stomach cannot take coffee anymore).

The journal:

Monday: 18C / 64F max, cloudy. Summer ...? No news otherwise.

 

Tuesday: 17C, is Autumn here? Peu à peu I get some sorting done.

My half-cousin, same name as Hubby, drives me NUTS. Sent me ca. 40 paper-pages per post-mail - I asked him I want .pdf via e-mail !

I have to send PAPER to the company who does my taxes.

Ingo: "Germany is not happy without paper. Or fax-machines..." 

 

 

Wednesday: Sad news. Friend´s Dad has passed away.

I must check our bell sign. EVERYONE rings here! Now Telekom, fiber optic cable-test, how he can get into the cellar. I was... barefoot and just gave him my key. Said, "well, it´s summer, right?", him, smiling, " a bit".  17C - 62F, but I don´t give up (yet).

The guys to our left, the wife is home ALWAYS, why me? Oh, of course, choose the "Emperor"! 🫅 I reign the house...

 

Thursday:  fK called. fE and mK really want me back THIS YEAR at ESE, she clarified yesterday. 

The project: A fancy train in Norway. Hopefully. Very individual that´s why it takes so long. mH will be co-teamlead, which is very good! He´s a do-er.

And with being blue all over on foot and leg and that darn back I need this break anyways. 

fK was without a job for four years so I am no shame. And Germany is not doing well (well, who is?!)

Learned a lot about why we don´t get along in my family. And that it´s not my fault... Good to have friends with experience and brains. 

 

Friday:  fK called. We snore. There may be help: MSM - Methylsulfonnylmethan - I´ll go for it!

To have true friends you can even say that to!

Big Niece turned 16 and we had a nice chat! Boy. She´s an adult. Just seconds ago she slept in my lap, 5 days old, fell asleep in her bed when she traveled to Australia at age 3 and laughed her head off when I couldn´t help with math in 2nd grade. 

And she sounds like her Mom. Scary.

 

I mean, look. Her and I:

 

 Genes are crazy!

 

 

Weekend: Saturday: City? No. Leg, back hurt and Ingo said it´s too cold.

Was all dressed up, corset and sunscreen all on and... no.

Wine in the... living room. 

Sunday: At Die Maus they say, "August, the hottest month of the year" ... yah, just where? 15C / 59F is not really "hot" - Ingo got himself a new gas-oven that is running and I sit in a pullover.

Hello From Summer

 

 

This is still from "Tag der Niedersachsen", day of the people of Lower Saxony.

A cool Summer´s Day in June, just like today, 17 C / 62F, cloudy, still no work.

But  Henry 🦁 loved all the people from Lower Saxony saying "hi"!

T STands For YeT AnoTher Summer- Week

 

Ingo was feeling like Summer-wine-time. Italy, Tuscany... it was evening already.

This is for Elizabeth´s T. Yes, no proper glasses...

Monday: Rivers in Germany so low, it´s crazy. And we can do nothing about it.

29 750 kids last year here got into a push-bike accident cause they don´t know the rules. How.Can.That.Even.Be?! Act!!!!

Back better, leg on the way up, too! Yippeeeee...

Work? Holiday-time :-(

Cloudy and warm, very good!

 

 

 

Tuesday: Summer? Foot still swollen, leg hurts.

Good thing: The sun shines through the window in so at least my arms warm up!

 

 

Wednesday: Got up when Ingo left, shortly after 04:25 a.m., and was soooooo darn awake. Leg and foot pumping. Surfed around, went back to bed and FELL ASLEEP!

I need to work, really. This is no life.

Normally I´d went for an early morning walk but... 

Solar partial eclipse soon, aw, well.

I was at VW last time and it sure was surreal.

All birds got confused and shut up - SILENCE! 

LOL, TV, "why do I need that special glasses - on an ordinary evening it doesn´t burn my Iris, either!" - To Dad, I miss you.

 

Thursday: I take a shower. DOOR BELL! TWICE! Threw some clothes on - our postie. I said, sorry, just took a shower, he said, you got clothes on quick!  And grinned.

I sure will not open naked, LOL. 

TV-news: 65 years ago today.... "No one plans to build a wall", said the GDR-regime. 

Some young people still see East and West-Germany. 

 

 Here in Braunschweig... a piece of the Berlin wall.

 

Do you still see that?! I have (had) 4 very good friends from "the East"! (two I lost).

As my friend says: "There are friends for a reason, friends for a season, friends for a lifetime.".... and yes, she says that in English as at ALSTOM the language is English, not French.

 

 

Friday: The customer had a push-bike accident. Talks hopefully Monday. I.Get.Nervous! At least they let me know. Friend in hard trouble, I try to help, if only via WhatsApp. 

 

Weekend: Saturday: Nice evening on the balcony - Ingo created a crate!!!
