This comes from the Harz mountains "around the corner", is a non-alcoholic drink.

Guess some think, hey, Braunschweig?! She lives close to Wolfenbüttel, where Jägermeister comes from, she should drink that when speaking of herbal drinks, but, no.

 

 "Has something..." if orange or all herbs, we have it.

 

 

With this herbal yum I join Elizabeth´s T. 

 

The journal from past week:

 

Monday: Went to REWE, Bea at the self-check-out and I got greeted by her with, by hand-signal, LLAP 😘! 

Huh? Looked down on myself and yes, wore a Spock-T-Shirt..

 

 

... but it  was Star Wars Day! 

I had no idea as I´m no fan!!!

 

What´s yours  - I look for trekking, rather, but ... what the heck? Live Long And Prosper!

 TV-News: 76% of Germans (...) are not happy with  Chancellor Merz/our politics, huhhhh, who guessed?!

 

  

Tuesday: Grey, not rainy. No nothing from my hopefully-again-boss. 

I feel pretty lost. "Pretty"...

 

 

Wednesday: Nice chat via phone - oh do I wish I was in the office! Feel so useless.

Had another crumpet, oh. I thought, hm. Hot pepper and cinnamon - good combo?

And weeeee.. the cinnamon went in. Was more like a cake. And my sweet tooth was asleep! 

 

Ingo rescued my cam... again! 

 

 

Thursday: Crumpet with egg´n cheese (and hot pepper and thyme).

Darn it: Same in your place? Ingo does not like crumpets, so I buy but for myself and.it.is.too.much. AI said I can freeze it. What did we do before AI???? Managed over half a half one and luckily you can have the rest cold later.

 

Friday: Wanted to call a Mrs Lachmund > "Laughing mouth". Instead a man answered and guess what -  I made him laugh! It was about the darn condo in BH and he asked, "who lived in there before?" - me: "hang on... looks like under the sofa... HEMPEL!"

There is a German saying about people who are a bit messy... "Looks like at Hempel´s under the sofa". The mnemonics one has, huh. We left laughing into the weekend.

Nice long chat with cf, more laughter. 

 

Weekend: Saturday: Yippee... WiFi-cables part#1 are off the ground! It was always a "watch out, don´t stumble!", especially with W.

Evening, Ingo knocks, I´m at the PC.... I say, "you don´t have to click!" - See how much I look forward to work?! In my brain: click...

I remember when we went dancing on Saturday nights... 

Wall-E on TV! 

Got kisses. 

 

Sunday: Die Maus: "Das war Österreichisch". In Die Maus they explain to us kids what will be the program and repeat it in a different language, naming which one it was direct after.

This time it was Austrian! And.. I thought "???" having worked with Austrians for months it´s German in a different accent to me, that´s all. To others it´s a foreign language.

My beginning with them: "Please, repeat?", LOL, or "I didn´t understand?" - "Passt" - "Huh?!" 

Got kisses. 

Bummer... German ex-chancellor Schröder at Putin´s side? Please, no. 

 

Sadly then. When something steams I will not touch it. Ingo flipped BIG (all good again).

Freezed the rest and have a sweet tooth-person in mind. And will be careful next time!!!

Monday: Harry was introduced at "Death in Paradise" - well I knew, thanks to bloggy-friends! :-)

Other... on hold. And cloudy, sadly no rain.

 

 

Tuesday: The Sun is out! And I got plants, super-cheap, because... New girl at Rewe-self-checkout. I sure did confuse her at first cause I always say Hello and Good bye - that is a human being, right?! By now she smiles at me. The plants failed the system as in price was not detected - she gave them to me for €1,99 each! - with a smile. Be nice, it "pays off"! To the bees! To smiles!

 

 

 "Insects are crazy about me!"

 

 

Wednesday: Did a bit training and wee.... I was sad to see the first character of Death in Paradise go, but I really like the new one and... Harry, so sweet! The music, sooo happy! The French-British accent. Did I mention the music?

And weee.... I gave a thank you to the mammography-team via e-mail  and got two (!)  answers, including the question if they may publish it on their website - yes, of course!

Hey, this is for free!!!!! How´s it like in your place? I get invited and it does cost nothing! And I know I am healthy!

 

Also got this note via e-mail:

"Our ANZAC Day Trading Hours - Karrinyup Shopping Centre: 'The centre will be closed Saturday 25 April for ANZAC Day.'"  Last time I was there was years ago and I am back in Germany, but, thanks!

 

 

Thursday: Huh-boy. The mammography-man really answered again and I am online. With name. Full name. Well, if it helps other women to go through the icky procedure you´re welcome.

Went to Lidl and got "Jeggins" - I am too old for this. There is a "button" and "pockets and all is fake. I also got leggins, they are fine! Aww, well I can go to work (hope, hope, hope!) in first! 

 

 

Friday: I finally stained the wood Ingo brought me (he has a car). Now I tinker about... going precise or by chance..

The architect/engineer in me fights, I tend to the latter in my artier soul and will show you the outcome soon.

First German-T-Shirt-Day!!!! Was fine on the balcony - to White-Horse Rewe I felt cold and others all wore jackets.

The self-check-out woman there, too, was confused by my greetings. I don´t get it! When people need help, they address them but they do not greet them first?! 

 

 

Weekend: Saturday: Ingo... was devastated. He went to the butcher. Generation Z - do I have to say more?! "Not my job". Look:

 

 "Not my job"... Ingo managed.

 

They had "Take a Girl Child to Work Day" (in Germany also boys attend) at Ingo´s plant, Ingo told me. One kid had headphones on!!! I.Beg.You.Pardon?! 

No way you cannot say "I´m not interested" in any other way - headphones!!!

Generation Alpha is even worse, huh. Glad I´m a steady X and Ingo is a Babyboomer.

Maybe you read my Friday-post how I grew up, humble. 

These days school kids - every day! - buy sweets and all before school at the grocery. Bet they do not work for that. 'nough ranting, time does not stand still. But right now the future looks grim in more than one way...

Ingo did a GREAT job, the roulades were to die for. 

Sunday: Kinda sad. Ukraine is nearly forgotten in German TV-News, a side note, Iran it is. Ukraine is our neighbor. Protecting us as well. I managed the board/shelf by myself. Good feeling. 

Will show you soon, will not make more noise on a Sunday, but, hey... managed on my own.

T This Last Promising Week

 

With this happy drink I join Elizabeth´s T for week 16. 

The journal - which reflects the past week - I say this because some of you thought last T-Day I was sick but that´d been the week before that - on the pages you see the date of the actual day - I took the idea from a fellow blogger we sadly lost years ago:

 

Monday: Went out this morning - late, 9 a.m.-ish - and it was so cold my ears nearly fell off and I could see my breath.

The postie was here 12:15, yippee as in 12:35 I wanted to leave for my 01:00 p.m-appointment, the darn mammography. 

The lady was supernice, told me all the time, "you´re doing great". And where my second name is from? I said, "my Dad expected my hair´ll turn reddish. Also he was an optometrist (Iris)". Yupp, my Mom hadn´t much to say here...

And, typical German: 01:07 I was back in the street! 

Bro called. Two of their pets lost their lives.... I spare you details... Fun names of the living, one is called Dr. Gonzo.

 

Tuesday: At REWE, "checkout"-Bea: "I cannot even speak German here!!!" 

Your opinion on this I´d like to know: Should people who stay here longer, or forever, should be forced to speak German?

fK came over for my apple-cake and re-planted my Christmas-amaryllis. She even managed to keep wax-Santa. 

 

Thursday she plans to speak with fE personally.

Having "grown up" in a men´s world it´s a bit odd to have female leaders now. But fK may become one of mine, too. 

 

 

Wednesday: Went to Rewe and had a nice chat with Bea. Gave my best to portrait Dad for Nicole´s challenge on FFO.... Huhhh. Challenge is the word!

So fun to see "Harry" in "Death in Paradise". 

 

Thursday: fK worked in the office today. Just before she wanted to meet fE (future boss) on my behalf mK popped by  - huge coincidence, I´ve worked for him before. When he heard I want to come back he was happy and said he´s just about to get a new project and he wants: me!!!

There is still another project to come for me. Please, I want to work for mK!!!

fK then had her yearly appointment - spontaneous -  with mM with whom I talked about batteries in trains, he knows I was in the Fortescue-team, he explained the heating in the office to me and also helped with the agency for work - I asked fK to say hi to him.

 

What a day!! Nothing settled yet and maybe it will take till June, but so what?! Or rather: Yippee!!! fK told fE I didn´t make contact cause I didn´t want to go on her nerves and she was very happy about that, too! Oh, wish me luck!

Friday: A slow day. Sometimes you just have an ear for others.

 

Weekend: Saturday: 1709 steps I took when taking the gear off. A mini-yippee. Hardware-stores and stuff. Being a woman and having the article by number helps. I felt bad for the man who was actually in front "row"..

Sunday: Rainy, lazy day. Löwenzahn, Maus, Fairy tale....

Munchy .. of course...

 

This is my first baked cake! 

Maybe the last, too, my sweet tooth went into hibernation again!

Though, plan: 28th eat up the rest! Me a bit, fK the rest... Ingo sadly has no interest, but that´s OK.
