Ingo was feeling like Summer-wine-time. Italy, Tuscany... it was evening already.
This is for Elizabeth´s T. Yes, no proper glasses...
29 750 kids last year here got into a push-bike accident cause they don´t know the rules. How.Can.That.Even.Be?! Act!!!!
Back better, leg on the way up, too! Yippeeeee...
Work? Holiday-time :-(
Cloudy and warm, very good!
Tuesday: Summer? Foot still swollen, leg hurts.
Good thing: The sun shines through the window in so at least my arms warm up!
Wednesday: Got up when Ingo left, shortly after 04:25 a.m., and was soooooo darn awake. Leg and foot pumping. Surfed around, went back to bed and FELL ASLEEP!
I need to work, really. This is no life.
Normally I´d went for an early morning walk but...
Solar partial eclipse soon, aw, well.
I was at VW last time and it sure was surreal.
All birds got confused and shut up - SILENCE!
LOL, TV, "why do I need that special glasses - on an ordinary evening it doesn´t burn my Iris, either!" - To Dad, I miss you.
Thursday: I take a shower. DOOR BELL! TWICE! Threw some clothes on - our postie. I said, sorry, just took a shower, he said, you got clothes on quick! And grinned.
I sure will not open naked, LOL.
TV-news: 65 years ago today.... "No one plans to build a wall", said the GDR-regime.
Some young people still see East and West-Germany.
Do you still see that?! I have (had) 4 very good friends from "the East"! (two I lost).
As my friend says: "There are friends for a reason, friends for a season, friends for a lifetime.".... and yes, she says that in English as at ALSTOM the language is English, not French.
Friday: The customer had a push-bike accident. Talks hopefully Monday. I.Get.Nervous! At least they let me know. Friend in hard trouble, I try to help, if only via WhatsApp.
Weekend: Saturday: Nice evening on the balcony - Ingo created a crate!!!
All under THREE sun-brollies:
And then a good ole newsPAPER:
We had shown wine. And the sweetest summer rain. We switched places so I could sit in the rain 🌦️
Sunday: The usual. Back... well, leg hurts. The usual.
BUT: Maus had sheep!
As the magnet says (not only)...
And a sweet fairy-tale, The Goose Girl.
Munchy:
Henry 🦁
Happy T-Summer-Day (well... last week)...

A long time ago (not too long but can't remember exactly when) I read about wine and wine glasses, there are many different styles and sizes of wine glasses and apparently each wine is supposed to taste MUCH better when poured into the right size and shape of glass and in the right amount. I don't drink wine so I don't care, but it was interesting to learn that.
I like the "Shear genius"
We hardly (obviously) ever drink wine, so.... usually we only cook with wine, goulash and such!
I love sheep :-) It was interesting to see how it´s done at "Die Maus"!
Hello,
Love your cute sketches. My great-niece fell off her bike last week and had a small break on her leg. I enjoy a glass of wine. The fruit looks yummy. Cute photo of Henry and the cubs. Take care, enjoy your day and the new week ahead.
A "small" break?! I once broke my arm, that´s not small, Eileen! I wish all the best! We must take care... and enjoy the days!
That Postie could not have come at a more inconvinient moment, lol. Great blog!
...foot on the table???
Glad I´m a quick dresser, LOL!
There was no foot on the table, Tom ;-)
Cheers Ingo!
All I know about wine glasses is, they have stems so you use the stem because you are never supposed to put your hand on the win part of the glass. I forget why, but it makes sense. Love Ingo's wine crate. LOVE your drawings. Always so clever. Thamls for sjowing the shearing, your wine, and you brief summer with us for T this Tuesday. I hope your back and leg feel better soon.
In his name: Cheers magiceye!
We usually only cook with wine, for goulash. Thank you, the drawings are thanks to you - and the crate will serve us well.
Yes, Summer seems to be over now, buhuu.
Happy T-Day!
Alles Liebe, 🤗
Traude

Enjoy any bits of summer that you can, Iris.
Kids...nobody bothers teaching them rules or boundaries. They think they are immune to accidents. I love my wine!!! Who cares what you drink it in!!
Summers fly by!
Deine Zeichnungen sind super. Dieser Sommer war ein Weinsommer. Viel Besuch, viel Wein. Jetzt regnet es (endlich) und der Sommer ist vorbei (vielleicht).
I think it´s over, RedPat.....
I have no kids, ... back in the day we found out ourselves! Sad summer flew by..
Great post, Iris. When I was a kid and when my kids were kids, no helmets, or knee pads. If we fell, it didn't seem to be very bad. These days though I think bikes are different and accidents seem to be more detrimental. Mr. M. rides his bike everyday. I have put mine away. Your sketches are so fun and tells the story. Nice to have wine. Our summer has been on the cold side. No real hot days at all.
Enjoy that wine!-Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com
Lambusco is really popular here, it's such a deep red dessert wine, looks like you both enjoyed it, have a nice week.
My grandma used to drink a sweet Lambrusco. Cheers to wine on your balcony and still Summer weather. Happy T Day
A good post! Liked your drawings and Ingo's wine crate. I'm hoping every day your leg and back are a little better.
Iris, you can drink wine out of any glass, even a mug!
I love your fridge magnet.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca
Dear friend Iris, your photos are lovely. Your sketches are fantastic! And Henry and cubs are adorable! Much love and many hugs to you.
I'm glad you've been finally having some summer. You must be thrilled. And it's always fun to see your journal pages. Of course the postman had to come just when you got out of the shower. That always happens, doesn't it? I hope you had a super T day and I hope summer lasts for you for awhile long too. hugs-Erika
Ja, ich fürchte, der Sommer ist vorbei, 17C ist zu kalt! Man hat keinen Einfluß, vielleicht gut so.... wenns nach mir ginge hätten wir 40+-C ;-)
Oh, yes, I was bleeding all over, be it push-bike, skates, skateboard and yet, here we are! Cold again here, too, and dark. "Summer"....
We sure did :-)
Oh, it was a once only, we are German, we usually drink.. well... beer ;-)
Thank you, yes, cold again here, you need to live each Summer-day to the best!
Thank you, yes, the crate of course is for... beer bottles - we are German ;-) Wine was an exception! Though he lately fell for Sparkling wine!
Lisca, yes, Christmas Market, Mullet Wine :-)
Thank you, dear friend Linda! Much love and warm hugs from a cold day on the way.
Oh, Summer seems to be over but yes, the postie has a talent, LOL - and humor, luckily! Hugs
You Had My Attention With Summer Wine
Cheers
By the way, Ronnie really snores. Very softly, like a throat purring. It's such a sweet sound.
I can't wait for summer to end. Thankfully the heatwave is gone, for now, but the drought destroyed so much. It's really been horrendous.
