Bro had had two real BBQs recently but it took her a while to “get” what this was all about.
Apart from the sausage, that is!
She immediately grabbed it with joy and tried to take a hearty bite, I had trouble not to break down laughing!
To be fair though… one of those two times she sat with her back to the BBQ and she wasn´t allowed to go near, either.
No wonder she tried to eat the red “hot” coal as well ;-)
She occasionally sounds like an adult, wen she replies with a cool, “ja…”
Where last year was fearful crying she now goes up and down here all by herself!
The day started with a long ride through the dang construction site on highway 7 (they plan to be ready August 2013!!!), then a coffee and then…. Bro and I went upstairs and started to sort Mum´s stuff out.
It will be a lot of work. She was always good at bringing in new stuff, but really bad in getting rid of old one.
I also found all the letters “we” got after my Dad´s passed away. Mum “shielded” us from it all. Guess I´ll sort through, too.
We left at lunchtime, it was enough for a first time. Had some Doner and then went to the hardware store to get some flowers to plant on the grave.
Then went to Kindergarten – Niece got the biggest smile when she saw her Daddy, sooo cute!
And man… she can not only walk, she can run, turn around and all!
We grabbed one hand each and let her fly, she loved. Like real high.
Until a man stopped us who thought we were the worst parents in the world.
He himself had dislocated his son´s arm doing this, ewwww!
Very weird was btw that her Grandmother asked me if I came to visit my daughter and that people assumed I´m the mother when they see the three of us together. Ummm… her very own Daughter is the Mother of little Niece, something to be proud of, huh?
And besides, Bro and I look a lot alike (apart from the beard and bald head that is ;-)….)
Well, Niece loves gardening, but was not too happy with the huge glove her Daddy gave her ;-)
When we were done though, so was she and she found the solution right away:

And it really was her coming up with this solution! Bro said, nah, that´s not for people! She insisted, didn´t hurt her hands or anything and enjoyed the ride to the real brrrumm- brrrumm (car).
(Yah ,I need to learn to make better videos! In my defense, the sun was shining so bright, I hardly saw something!)
Hope to see her next Thursday again, she is really a joy to be around!
