Where´s the Baby Gone?

See this serious person? Studying the fountain?
This girl who actually watches all the water sprinkling and making her mind up about it?

One blink of the eye away she was this person... or actually... was she already a person?
Guess the Baby is gone, here´s my Niece:
Very spontanously Bro decided yesterday - in the rain - to come over. They wanted to visit me - and go to JAKO-O, smart kid´s stuff.
Nope, that´s not our home, that´s at JAKO-O :-) The Men´s toilet:
At first Niece was very shy again. For quite a long while actually, but I was the same, I understand.

No, wait, I lied!
I wasn´t the same - I am.
When/if we meet in person... keep this in mind, ok?
You´ll meet a 41-year-old being shy and insecure as a 3-year-old...
Nothing to be proud of, nothing I can change - and I try...

At one point she came over all by herself and took my hand. Awww.
Those are moments I get in doubt if it was right to decide against kids.
But then again... she can´t climb any place without clumsy Auntie standing by, both hands ready to catch the one who can climb all by herself without a doubt.
No, I would´ve been an awful mother ;-)
She´s better off with her Dad being my Bro :-)

Since Niece, being a Lion by zodiac sign, can really roar like a biiiig Lion, I was happy to be able to show her so many Lions, she was thrilled.
Yep, easy to do in the City Of Henry The Lion, huh?
She sure was impressed to see the "real" one (well, due to pollution the real Henry is in Castle Dankwarderode, but his Double is as best!).

Wiki says: "Legend - Shortly after the death of Henry the Lion, the ruler became the subject of a folktale, the so-called Heinrichssage. The tale was later also turned into the opera Enrico Leone by Italian composer Agostino Steffani. The Heinrichssage details a fictional account of Henry's pilgrimage to the Holy Land. A popular part of the tale deals with the Brunswick Lion. According to legend, Henry witnessed the fight between a lion and a dragon while on pilgrimage. He joins the lion in its fight and they slay the dragon. The faithful lion then accompanies Henry on his return home. After its master's death, the lion refuses all food and dies of grief on Henry's grave. The people of Brunswick then erect the statue in the lion's honour."

It is said, btw, that every New Year´s Eve after the fireworks Henry (pic above) steps off his platform and walks through town to see if every one is ok.
A safe feeling to live in a town like this, huh?

On the way back it went all foggy, have never ever seen river Oker in the fog!
Finally Niece also was ready to give me her pressie!
This heart is nothing a Baby can make, right?

And at the end for a good-bye I got a "monster-kiss" - how cute is that?

And certainly Bro didn´t come with empty hands, either!
I just wonder what he´d ordered???
It was/is yummy, though!

How lucky am I having Seesener-Pizza-taste-buds living in Braunschweig, huh?
Guess I´d roll all by myself if I had Braunschweiger-Pizza-taste-buds ;-)
I find none yummy enough to eat here!

Perth... I´m coming! Let´s hope I don´t roll back home! ;-)
