The Elephant ("Washed My Head")
My friend P has two little twin girls so I assumed she just forgot to set her calendar on "absent" for Friday and, since again she is my "boss", told her via e-mail what I´d prepared work-wise for my absence, if one or two things are the way she wanted it and how to do everything herself if Teamleader...
well, you know.
Will be absent for a while, too.
Indeed I was right with today (a German saying, to know your pigs by the way they walk).
I´d said if I was right doing this then somebody will have to undo this come January and it´s not clear who that´d be.
Wished her a Merry Christmas etc.
Shoot, what I did get back!
She´d asked her boss over and over again to make the situation clear - will I keep my job or not. She even prepared her ready-to-use e-mails to forward!
Upon my answer that, thanks and it´s sad to go on holiday like this, but it´s with a bad feeling anyways due to my Teamleader´s situation. Upon that...
Sometimes you underestimate your friends, me, at least.
I got one of the most... crazy, I nearly cried.
And she is right:
Maybe it´s a new chance. She says I can do way more than what I do now.
We used to develop - stopped since years.
And she wrote down all the crap that I had to carry kinda constantly since 2002 and said now it´s my time - to enjoy.
Lucky me had a voucher and the thinking made me hungry, too.
Yes. Three fillet bites.
I´d kinda "forgotten" so much of the crap.
How come she has it right there?
It´ll be hard for T - every working day the two of us found several things to laugh out loud about.
I really do believe laughing is a bit like medicine and I feel really sorry I leave him now whilst his girlfriend is having such a very hard time to let go of life.
Plus I was listening whenever he needed to talk.
Alas.
P is right, time for myself. And a very hopefully "healthy" Ingo.
Shoot.
She helped me heaps but made me so sad, too.
Cause now I have all the crap right here again in my mind.
But, you know.
This woman.
She also still recalls all the names of Ingo´s Brother´s four kids though she had never ever met them!
Like an elephant she never forgets a thing!
"Washing someones head" maybe is just a German saying, too.
Meaning setting things straight again, remind someone of things.
And yes.
KFC is rather new here.
They still do a good job, it´s, unlike in Perth, really yummy!
Maybe crap-times will be over for me for a while now.
Will give T my private e-mail, though.
After all. We´re kinda friends, right.

Never heard those sayings, they must just be a German thing.
I don't fancy KFC here.
Yes, in Perth KFC was fatty and icky.
When you come on holiday you have to try, I know that it won't be easy, to put work to the back part of your mind.. it will be waiting for your return whatever! I haven't ever had Kentucky Fried.. the thought of all that oil puts me right off!
I will try, Grace. You are right, something will be here to be done, I hope.
Aw, well. Fat, sugar, all the same - not good ;-)
