Thursday we went to the vet.
No,we (sadly) have no pet.
But!!! A couple of months ago the Kingsway Vet Centre said they have a feline receptionist!!! Have you ever heard of something like this,I did not!I had to visit (they "invited" me, too).
So, Sami shared some of her cat food and off Ingo and I took.
Meet the 15-year old, cute,calm receptionist (with a very unusual name I did not get).
Awwww, no?
From there we went to...
...yupp!
And Chinese New Year is here, too!
But, really, I could spam you, I took 60 pics!! But this I have to share at least:

... Perth Children's Hospital.
No, we do not have kids. Tim sent us there.
It is really well done for kids, and the pelican reminded me of Monkey Mia where we not only saw dolphins at the beach (1995) but a huge pelican chased me - gosh, that bird was huge (and I had nothing to feed, either).
A nice place (if for sick kids and worried parents).
And this was clever!
A kid stopped for the sweets and the Mum had a very, very close look and said with a desperate face:
"Oh, noooo!!! This is a fake vending machine!!!"
And the kid moved on with no further fuss.
The Mum saw me grinning and secretly grinned back. Clever Mum, never thought that would work!!

I asked a hospital guide (new concept to me) where I could get Tim's colleagues.
"Awwww!!! The April guys are my favs!!!", she answered and upon learning we only get them every two years and why and that we're (sadly) from Germany.... guess!
She went on in German!
She is from Holland (das hoerst du, nech?), came to Perth 38 years ago and sadly said it's nearly impossible today.
The lady who sold us... well, between all the kids' toys she stood and her face lit up.
She looooves it, too - she is from England and said... these days,coming to Australia... she wishes us luck.

It's a tad too much for my liking, but there are cute guys, too!
And also one woman, too!
And you help the Perth Children's Hospital, too - why not go grab one, or ask Tim and his team ;-)

Yes, sweet! But this one is explicitly a receptionist :-)
She calms down kids and other pets (I have been explained).
Our doctor has a cat at the surgery.
So, cats are doctors, too (and maybe the better ones in some things).

You are having the best time! Everything is so colorful. I love every photo -- it's beautiful and diverse. I love the kinds of things you are doing while you travel -- it makes it more interesting, more real, not just the regular sights!
Just like Jeanie I loved your different day - the cat, the Children's hospital which I only saw on TV, the pelican statues, the firefighters calendar with a firewoman too :)

The new children's Hospital is fantastic Iris, I'm so glad you got the opportunity to go and see it, especially as you didn't have to leave Ingo at the hospital next door 😉 very sweet feline receptionist, miowwwww!
