Hahaha, so yes! Especially long holidays like 6 or 7 months in a very hot climate (Australia).
We kept the film rolls in clothes down deep in the car where we lived in and had them developed in Germany (see first pic).

I found Ingo, he looks tiny compared to the huge lobster sculpture. I assume that is a lobster. I do remember having to take my film to get it developed, now it is so easy to delete all the bad photos. I hope you like your new work place, but if you can work from home that is great. I see Ingo too. Now that is quite a lobster. But no big front claws I don't think, which makes the photo twice as interesting. And also, taking your film and it costing a lot for photos that may have needed a little cropping or color adjustment. Digital photography is so much better! Hope your day is going well. hugs-Erika

I saw that list about skills that no one needs any more, like working with film cameras and using dial phones. I remember most of those things, and some others as well.

I spotted Ingo! Camera film. Yup, I took my photos from my trip to West Berlin and the photo place lost all my pictures! They didn't even offer to replace the roll of film!
When using film you really thought about what you would shoot. It is so nice not to worry about that now.
I had many rolls of film thrown in the bucket because of the focus. Don;t miss those days.

Yes, so many things we used daily are dinosaurs now, technologically speaking. How excited we were when color tv became affordable! And transistor radios were so cool! Then there was permanent press clothes, and hot rollers for our hair. Oh, we thought we were so modern.
I spotted Ingo easily. I love lobster though I can rarely afford it. I think it's been about five years since I last ate any, must have been a Christmas lunch. I remember getting photos back from the chemist and finding half my people had the heads half gone because I pressed the shutter button too hard and "dipped" the camera. Also sometimes the film wouldn't wind ahead properly and there would be photos with two overlapping images.
Yes, a giant lobster, I assume. They also had huge strawberries and I don´t recall what else. Workplace... I hope I can work from home. And yes,I delete a lot of bad photos ;-)
To be true, ... I had lobster but once. I had to rather look "away" and it tasted like chicken - I am not a friend of seafood (sadly).

I remember 200, 400 etc for films.... Now I have a TG-7 that does the job itself.
OHHHH! Now THAT is sad!!!! Like so many pictures from Australia I only have in my head.... No, yours is worse. so sad.
Yes, I would have... a gazillion of pics from our trips... but you thought twice back then. Only in my head I have them all...

Yes, I had a tine black/white TV (and that was luxury!!!!) Nothing hot in my hair, please ;-)
Maybe my Mum didn´t prepare it correct,I once had lobster and it looked not only ugly, it tasted like.... chicken. Maybe good if it is that expensive!
LOL. We sure had many bad moments when the developed films landed in our hands finally... And YES! I have photos I took outside and overlapped with pictures I took in a museum.
