With this Tea to be I join Elizabeth´s T.
The Journal:
Monday: fK is back at work and threw the phone at me and we chatted. Teams really is a great tool.
Oh, come on. If you are present at the office and get a cuppa, you talk privately, too.
Also we do minor works meanwhile like sorting e-mail etc.
I sadly heard nothing about the further training. I am too impatient, she said.
Other the tax-software finally worked and weee. New rules: you don´t need an extra workroom anymore, hence I can deduct working from home from tax!
Got some other private, important mail-stuff done and wanted to clean up but sore muscles in my legs and my back hurts like hell from all the bending over under my private PC-place.
Totally windy here:
Tuesday: Drumroll! As I so miss hearing the rain on a tin-roof or a slanted window Ingo bought - to our neighbor´s dismay- three tin-buckets that, upside down, let me hear the rain inside (we live ground floor). Such a nice start to the day!
Then: Taxes again, a pain.
Wednesday, got up as usual, aka 05:00 (I am on hold and could sleep in but naaaah), brought plastic outside and saw: in the paper bin in the corner is still space! By 07:00 I had cut down ALL cartons, brought outside and had the laundry done.
Then got rid of all recycling bottles and did grocery.
Tax-office opened at 08:00. 08:02 I call, they are not open yet. Huh???
Gave them 5 more minutes and ended up in hold-line for 20 minutes!
Thursday: On the way home a little girl with her bike had to wait for her Mom.
She smiled at me and said hello. I did the same. She went on, "your coat is very beautiful... and your beanie looks kinda funny!" And gave me a huge smile. She was maybe 4.
I think I made her day and she mine!
By golly, such an open, brave little girl!
Eeek, so much snow on the dish I could not watch TV, had to wait for Ingo as I´m too small...
Friday: My termination agreement ends March 15th. Plan was a further training that actually takes 12 months in 2. Sportive. Alternative: Till June. Maybe do-able. I was to get a video-call from the job center, but the lady didn´t show up - luckily!!!
My teamlead called me from the car, so no one can hear her.
Monday a wave of terminations will start and they are not allowed to hire people for a longer time.
So, I will try to get the 12 months - if the job center pays and - I am not to tell anyone (and didn´t): They plan to get me back, only teamleads Railway know...
Wish me luck the job center pays and I get the certificate!
It´s on technical editor - Expert, aka operating instructions/manuals. Sounds easy, but reckon it is difficult, I saw the questions... this was really luck. 2 months - hahaha.
Ingo bought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers😘
And saw: Green peppers!!!!!
Weekend: Saturday: We went grocery shopping, had a chat with check-out woman Bea (we have GREEN peppers!) and sat forever to prepare Ingo´s super-mega-yummy filled peppers.
Wonder about the pirate flag? Explanation and recipe on Thursday.
They are to die for. Do you have trouble to get green peppers, too?
Later Ingo made pudding, not my thing, looks pretty, though.
Sunday: More filled peppers and, my. When we were young we had one half each and after a quarter each.
These days we share a half and are FULL.
Löwenzahn, Die Maus (Ice-cream for Snowman), Fairy Tale. Quiet day.
Lost places: "... they drank German beer, ate German food,... and listened to the greatest German, Hit#er". For Christ´s sake!!! That man was AUSTRIAN!!!!!
He got German citizenship (in Braunschweig, buhuuu), but he was AUSTRIAN!
Munchy:
The series:
"This is how we shopped in the 20th century
A family does their weekly shopping at this supermarket, whose walls and ceilings are decorated with advertisements for cookies, crackers, pickles and salad dressing. Can you see the sign for "S&H Green Stamps"? These were a series of private label brands that were popular in the United States from the 1930s to the late 1980s and represented an early example of a customer loyalty program."

Dir einen happy T day!
...Iris, I hope that your work situation improves soon. Remember, you make many people's day!
Thank you, Tom, that is nice of you to say!
That grocery store photo from the 1950's doesn't look all that different from how it is now. :) The stores are definitely more upscale though, well, they sell way more items is what I should say. And that tea boat, is the tea in the boat? I've never seen one of those but it's cool. I hope you have a super T day Iris. hugs-Erika
I hope no one reads your blog about the stuff you aren't supposed to tell anyone. You never can tell who finds you (I am always surprised and shocked when people find me, even though it's a piece of cake with the internet!) But I'm glad all are on your side and I hope it pulls together soon. And that's a wonderful story about the little girl loving your coat! Oh, and good news about the taxes and your work space, too.

Happy Tuesday ,
Cheers
Yes, that´s tea inside the boat, I got this in Wilhelmshaven. Well, it´s a sad today, I packed all my hardware for Ese.... so, thank you for the hugs, well needed.
I don´t think colleagues will look for my blog, by no means.
The work space makes me super-sad, actually... it is empty now. All packed to go back to ESE.
The taxes, I kinda bet they will have something I did wrong...
The good old days, "cheers" as much as I can give on this sad day...
Fingers crossed that your job situation improves. Awww, cute the little girl admired your coat and hat. Your story made my day. Happy T Day
Good luck with the job stuff!
Thank you... Now the little girl made two people´s day :-)
Thank you. Tough times...
The job stuff is very sad but they do want you back so try to stay positive, Iris.
I love Henry today.
Henry sees himself big and stong in that reflection. You, too can feel like that with your job. People like you, you're a hard worker, what's not to like. Follow Henry's lead and try not to worry to much.
Thank you, I try to stay positive, it was just so sad to pack it all up today...
Thank you, Bill, I´ll try."My" T is down to 2 1/2 days per week another colleague of him 100% down.
I was lucky, I am safe till March 15 and get money. Others this week got terminated. It´s black times, work-wise.
Sorry all your ESE hardware goes back. I hope your situation improves soon. Always love your calendar and the little girl who made your day.
CJ sent me an entire book of S & H green stamps. Loved seeing what shopping was like in the 1950s.
Loved the tea boat. Very clever. Thanks for sharing your calendar and your tea with us for T this Tuesday, dear Iris.
I love your diary drawings. Such fun. You had a tornado? Wow, that is awful.
The rain on the bucket made me smile. My husband used to love the sound of the rain on the roof of the caravan. (I didn't, it only kept me awake).
It's so satisfying to have done all the recycling. And I totally understand that feeling of triumph when you find a paper bin that has some room. Here people can't be bothered to fold the cardboard boxes flat and they just chuck them in the container, so it fills up in no time.
Sweet story of the little girl. And lovely drawing in your diary.
Snow on the disk! I am fortunate that I have a digital tv, so I only need internet (and electricity).
Yes, we have green peppers. Sometimes ONLY green peppers. Sometimes I want a red one. I bought four red ones yesterday, and I onky needed one. So I will cut them up and freeze them. It's a good stand-by.
The salad looks lovely. Just remember what's in it and you can make it yourself next time. (chick peas, feta cheese, baby spinach).
I love the photo of the shop.I remember going shopping with my parents in the fifties. I don't remember the trolleys. I think we had baskets.
And yes, in England they had green stamps. My dad always collected them for our friends but we got so many that we started collecting ourselves. In the Netherlands it was margarine Blue Band that had stamps to collect, and the supermarket Albert Hein had loyalty stamps too come to think of it.
Yes, those were the days.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca
congratulations on getting flowers from Inga. And, if understand correctly, you will still have a job? Hope so.
What fabulous pages and it must have been sad to return your work stuff, with your fab work ethic I'm sure you'll secure another job and with March on its way there will be new job opportunities ❤️. Loved the photo of Henry and that salad looks so delicious 😊. Wishing you a very Happy T Day! Hugs, Jo x
Fingers crossed that your job situation improves.
That salad does look good.
All the best Jan
Dear Elizabeth, yes, this is a hard day for me.
To little, brave girls!
The boat is from Wilhelmshaven :-)
The tornado was on TV, luckily!!!
Yes, most prop in the cartons as they are, dumb!
We really had a lack of green peppers for years!
The problem with the salad is: You have way too much from each ingredient!
I can´t remember stamps in Germany but now every shop has those credit-card-like thingies. I don´t use them....
I hope for a happy day, hugs
Ingo pops in with flowers when he sees nice ones :-)
For now I officially have the job, but I bet I am terminated...
I hope to be back at this company, wish me luck! Work stuff is at the condo-door right now.... bu-huu... Hope they have the salad again! Happy day, no matter what! x
Thank you, I´d be so happy - also to find that salad again!
I love when small children have such confidence and good speech skills, they have been taught well by the parents I think.
I like the cub seeing a full grown lion in his future.
Yes, the little girl was amazingly brave and sweet!
