"the drink of tomorrow"....
With this fancy drink I join Elizabeth´s T.
Ingo buys, I have to be home to receive the parcels (otherwise they end up who knows where) and then I have to bring the rest to the paper bin two roads away.
My life.
Ingo cleared the balcony. A once in... ummm ... we live here since 2011...
At least: Back a bit better. Bit!
Tuesday: Met Bea, a new neighbor and a " new" neighbor. Summer!!!!
"Huhhh-hoooo!" from above - at least one is happy here! I chuckle away! 😍
If my life was so happy...
Back-pain...
Wednesday: Went to grocery REWE. Nice chat with Bea at the check out, then... a "tall woman" in front of me at our house. Hm. Door held wide open.
That "tall woman" was little Lotti, waiting for me, letting me in!! She must be 13 or such and ... tall, nice, friendly, beautiful.
Where is that yelling, screaming girl who didn´t want to climb 4 floors up???
I´m happily getting old!
Back-pain...
Thursday: Phone... mK is on holiday but.... fK had another talk with fE and... they understand I WANT TO WORK and for THEM.
Evening: "RUN, Forrest, RUN!!!" - I am Forrest....
Neighbors spotted me and kept the door open with a huge smile, so... I ran! (back-pain!!!!)
Yup, I love my place! (Apart from the dinosaurs stomping above)
Friday: fK popped in to give me an acupuncture against my back pain. Helped only for hours, sadly...
East and West Germany, LOL.
"I need to bring away my tea..." - loo door left open! And why not. I just sit nearby...
Opened the drink-coconut... "I don´t mind sharing your straw."...
Her wife provided me with three glasses of Vegemite and she requested a toast with it. Not a hit, LOL! Neither was Marmite.
Sweet memory of Italy with East Germans. The male bus driver even offered me his bathing pants. East Germans share!
I think in my generation there will always be East and West Germany!
And we love one another! All my three mTs, mM, all from "over there" and great people.
One mT sang the Russian alphabet to me! fK translates Ukrainian to me.
Ingo got and assembled me that expensive chair. I fell asleep in it!!!
Aaaand
And rain!!!!
I remember.
1999. Outback WA. September 26th. Thunderstruck!!!!
So bad we nearly packed up to leave. We had two jerry cans of gas on top...
But it was only Mother Nature giving Ingo a Birthday party!!!!! Last minute the thunder took a turn!
I will NEVER forget that!!! Near Kalgoorlie in the Outback it was.
Weekend: Saturday: Despite I slept in the corset... back...
I went to buskers and it was AWESOME!!!!! Wonderful! I watched Italians
performing! Had the
best pizza (from real Italian guys), bought jewelry from some sweet, sweet women!
Nothing against Ingo or friends, but some things I want to do on my own!
Stay as long with anyone as I want. Me-time, you know? Or.. "my back and me-time"....
Sunday: Löwenzahn, Maus, fairy tale... buskers!!! Met a nice man, we talked over an hour!!! I´m not shy anymore! Got three more pizzas and had a supernice chat with the Italian, too!
And, boy, videos of buskers to come!!!
I have soooo much to share, be it Perth, be it Braunschweig... So much art. Right now I look at the sweetest dude! He´ll say hi some SITAR!

...Iris, I hope that you are able to find some relief for your back pain.
On the way up, Tom - things could be worse and it was a great week all in all!
I've been out straight the last couple of days so I've missed a few posts. Hope you'll forgive me-smile. Sorry to read you still have back pain. Too back that acupuncture didn't work. Hope you feel like yourself again soon. And I know, sometimes you just want your own time. That's how I feel today. I just want to be home and do what I want to do. Grin. Have a super rest of your T day. hugs-Erika
Me time is important especially with a margherita pizza! Happy T Day
I'm with you right now with back pain. I was able to get a doc apt next week. I'm sorry the acupuncture didn't work. Yes, having time to yourself is important. Veggie meat balls. Sounds really good. Take care and relax your back.
Hello Iris,
Sorry to hear about the back pain, I hope you are feeling better soon. I always enjoy your sketches, well done. Take care, enjoy your day!
Sounds like such a good week, despite your horrible back pain. I hope you get relief soon, Iris.
All such interesting things in your week. I loved reading it all
I like being on my own sometimes too, Iris. You can do what you want. Sounds like it was a good week over all.
"Forgiven" ;-) Blogging is supposed to be FUN! As me-time, hugs!!
Yes to both!
I hate relaxing!! LOL.. veggie balls, no meat in there, stone-dry, not again!
Thank you, Eileen, I told my back!
Thank you, Sue, I MUST be on my way up!
Yips, on one own is not lonley, RedPat, that´s what most don´t understand and feel "pity"....
I'm sorry you're still in pain. Acupuncture only helps temporarily, I know. But it relaxes the muscles around whatever it is that is wrong with your back and that helps towards healing. Have another session of acupuncture if you can.
You are a changed woman! No longer shy! Hurray! You cook nice meals! Hurray! And you can enjoy time on your own! Hurray!
What do you mean by 'I went to buskers'? Do you have a place in Braunschweig for buskers? I'm used to seeing buskers on the city square or in the underground. In Istanbul, they even were playing IN the train.
I'm glad you had such a good week. (In my opinion, sunshine makes such a difference).
Happy T-Day,
Lisca
That soft drink flavour combination sounds a bit strange and a bit bitter, but I would give it a try, have a nice week.
So sorry about your continued back pain. Feel better soon, dear.
I love your drawings. And that train is so cute. Sounds like that expensive chair was worth it.
Your super pop drink made my mouth pucker (grin). Thanks for sharing your week and drink with us for T this Tuesday, Iris.
Apart from the back pain, which is no small thing, it sounds like a relatively good week. I hope you can soon find some relief.
I could not watch the AC/DC, the movements are too fast and hurt my eyes. Looking forward to photos from Buskers. For your back get on hand and knees like a baby and rock gently side to side but only a few minutes each day and gently moving, don't push too far to begin with. And crawling like a baby also helps, again not too far or too long and be gentle getting up again. That chair must be comfortable to be falling asleep in it 😀
Sunshine makes a difference - sadly it´s gone!
Well, top be honest acupuncture saved my life! I had twice 8 sessions against migraine and I am free! That, though, was a doctor who went to China to learn it.
Once a year we have a festival for buskers who are interested - I´ll show some videos.
And yes, I am so glad I am not shy anymore - and can cook and bake :-)
It was yummy! To a nice week!
Yes, that back.... argh. I´ll have to take it slow!
Thank you, I so hope to be back in railway soon. Weird I write this! That drink was actually yummy - you make me buy those ;-)
I still hope, too! Argh. But I tell myself things could be worse...
Oh, I´m sorry about your eyes!!! Thank you, oh with that arm rocking an hands and knees might cause another problem! Ingo got me a corset with "animation", that seems to help.
Pics and videos are to come from our buskers festival!
Dear friend Iris, I love your sketches!!! I hope your back pain goes away! Much love and hugs to you.
Sorry to read about your back pain, sending good wishes and hoping that you feel better soon.
All the best Jan
