Yeah - this looks like a castle, hm? So very much historical.
270 trees have been cut down for it. Can you believe this?! Two hundred and seventy trees! Not to mention the playground, the skaters´ site...
Money. Yeah. That´s what it´s all about, even in the "little" things like this one...

I've seen pictures of the inside. A friend of mine sent them to me. His mother got a new job in one of the shops after being unemployed for a year.
I didn't realize all that had been taken away to build this shopping mall until I read your blog. My friend did tell me there was much opposition to it. So he was there on opening morning with his camera, curious about the inside of this "
Castle Mall".
He asked me what I thought of the pictures and I said, "I hate to say this but it looks like every upscale mall here in the US." And its true. I even recognized many of the names of the shops.
Somehow, this made me a little depressed. But I live in a country where "consuming" is our religion.
How small this world is! You really know someone who works there?!
Well, yes, I agree - I have only seen pics of the inside, too, and I guess every student could have done better, could have made it more creative...
