This was the worst ride ever this morning.
The roads were icy, and it was raining.
On the radio they warned all the time that it´s very icy on the roads, schools are closed, public transport is off and reminded people to only use the car if absolutely necessary.
Haha, funny...
Breaking? You need a looong way, and the anti-lock braking system sets in often.
Some drivers go fast, though, as it it was summer.
It took me 15 minutes to do a left turn.
All the busses were not running, hence all the guys who went in for their shift came by car - pure chaos, from three sides.
All in all I came to work safely in 45 minutes.
My colleagues started later and needed 2 1/2 hours for the same route. Accidents had happened and there they were, stuck in traffic.
Everybody arrived safe, though.
It was really anything but funny.
I know, yes, we have winter - but... here we´re not used to strong winters like that anymore, counties aren´t prepared and can´t help, it´s a cold and dangerous mess.
I hope it gets warmer very, very soon!

That must be so scary I agree.
We have milder weather here all of a sudden, 26C's in Perth's summer!! Go figure, I sit here in my winter gown this morning.
I would have been scared to death driving on that! I hope tomorrow is much safer.
I drove on icy roads once. I vowed never again! But then we don't have icy roads in Perth so guess I can easily keep that promise :)
I think somehow I get kinda used to it.. I´m not soooo darn much afraid as before.
But I sure am sick of it. Forecast says next week will be just like this still :-(
Maybe I should move to Perth to avoid the whole problem ;-)
