My Mum Always Said It´s The Windiest

When I surfed the news in my lunchbreak today, I saw a pic and thought, hey, this is our train station!
But then I thought, naahhhh, must be a bigger place, like Berlin or such, why would "we" be in the paper?

Sadly I was right, though.

The woman who went for our train station even shares the family name with me.
And sadly, she is right, too, as my Mum was, who always used to say: Braunschweig has the windiest train station of whole Europe.

Jasmin says, the worst thing about this architectural dreadfulness is that it´ll stay forever - since 1993 the building is under monument protection.
Geez, I didn´t know that. There was always hope, until today ;-)

Really, we made it to #1 of it all.
My Mum´d laugh and say, "I told you so! Not only the windiest, the ugliest, too!"

Laughing... I still have to laugh (or cry?) about the trainee who helped seeing after the heating today.
After having seen all rooms except the toilet he did not assume the door with the huge Golden Gate Bridge is the one to the loo.
He went to the bathroom and obviously looked for a "secret door"!
Oh, my. For crying out loud.

And, hah, do I look forward to February 13th onwards - The Giants come to Perth!

We´ve seen a documentary on them a while ago and I so wanted to see them for real.
Now I will :-)
Certainly only after paying another visit to the most windiest and ugliest train station of Europe!
