Funny. 2902 - even Bro now knows the number of Da Nico (again).
So Monday evening before leaving I called and ordered a "ten without ham" and mind you, I could hear the other person on the phone answered with a smile.
Because... very likely the Pizza I ordered is not a #10 anymore.
But I order this since I was 14.
Uh. That´s nearly 30 years!!!
Even my Mum ordered a ten without ham a while ago when she came for a visit! And they asked, goes to Braunschweig, right?, smiling big.
Giving makes you happy, right?
Nico himself just got the pizza out of the oven the moment I came in (not kidding!), the oven is right at the counter, for everyone to see.
He cut it and handed it over with a proud smile, knowing it goes to Braunschweig again.
Or, rather assuming - these days Bro gets sentimental from time to time and orders a ten without ham himself (even though he likes warm ham)!
Nico even speaks an understandable German by now, I was impressed. Also his German wife grinned big seeing me - that´s some excuse for a Pizza da Nico, no, making people proud of their product.
I give them pride, they give me yum, everyone is happy :-)
In Rhüden I stopped, it had cooled down for a first bite - y.u.m.!
In this heat it made three meals.
Three very yummy meals.
And maybe you´ve noted in the first pic: There are also Tom Tasty and carrots in the fridge!

It's rather nice when people get to know your order without having to say it :) I have two local cafes that start making my coffee before I even ask for it :)
Like my bakery, Grace. When I call and say my name I get the answer "I´ve put it aside already!" - soooo nice.
