So we went to see the Lions play against the Berlin Rebels.
When back then there was a pregame-show we only get old cars or Harleys these days.
There aren´t enough Harleys in Braunschweig, though, for the event, as this pic proves:

Awww, that would´ve been wonderful to see her there.
There were also these VIP-seats, three of them. A man and a woman who didn´t know each other were chosen, how "romantic"...
Will I go again? No idea...

But, you know.... there weren´t even 3000 visitors, it was sad!
The tickets were 3€ cheaper than last time, but there is but one tiny, sad group of Cheerleaders left, no service anymore - it must be rather demotivating for the players!
When it was really fun I asked Bro oh so often to join me once - he never did. Now I´d be ashamed to show him the "dilemma".
The moves were good, the players did a good job, but the atmosphere is just gone, more or less.
The nicer it was that obviously there was many an old fan like us!
I couldn´t see him, but Matt Riazzi was there for the coin toss and we all shouted his name :-)
Sadly Ingo left right in the middle of the game but I came home safely, making sure there are other fans on the route.
The Lions won 40:23.
So, missing was Maggie and some 8000 visitors. And the name. New Yorker Lions, pah. They are the Braunschweig Lions after all!
Sad when management ruins such a great event.

Yes, it´s very sad.
Back then we knew all the players by name. The commentator only had to say the first name and everybody was shouting the last one - those days are long gone - at least for us. With such a bad service we don´t go often... Plus... they´re all babies, kinda! Ok, it´s me getting old, but back then the players were my age! It´s weird...
