The squirrel that was so angry cause it couldn´t get the bird-seeds, that was a Mum!
I just saw her kids running the neighbour´s tree up and down like crazy, chasing each other endlessly, climbing the tiniest branches, it was so much fun watching them (too far away, though, to make a video).
I put some peanuts onto the balcony and boom... gone :-)
I hope Mum isn´t angry at me anymore and they all come back!
And now I also know:
How most others feel like when they talk to me standing.
At the check out a very tiny, old lady stood behind me. There was a problem, so I went to the next check out and she followed me, coming real near, saying, I´m coming with you, using the casual "du".
Then she said she´s sorry for the "du", but her granddaughter wears the very same coat.
She told me she just finished her sports program, well, it´s only ball gymnastics (sooo sweet) and that now she´s real hungry!
She wants to try something new and needs a fatty cheese, if that cheese has enough, she asked.
I... me (!) had to bend down a little! She was so tiny, not more than 1,25m.
That´s how tall people feel like when they talk to me!
Funny feeling.
She was larger than me, though, in a way, she just talks to people, I have such difficulties doing this!
A role model for sure with sports, new receipes... she was fit!
What a sad sight, each and every year...
Sad.. I will try and write down three things that made me happy each day, hopefully I´ll stick to it - it´s an experiment, bare with me!
- "My" baker-lady, we chatted like forever until another customer came. Fun!
- The tiny lady, certainly!
- My health insurance. A new lady called me, she was so nice and maybe everything´ll turn out fine, too.
On being thankful and happy...

I like your "three things" plan. And all good things here!
Your squirrels are beautiful. And very different looking from ours. Ours don't have that little top knot on their heads -- their heads are very smooth. It's fine but yours have so much character! I hate it when the squirrel eats from the feeders and I try to put out more squirrely food (like nuts and corn) in a planter to keep them off it but I'm not very successful. And they have to eat, too, I guess.
Love your tiny lady story. You might have just made her day, reminding her of her granddaughter and having you to talk with. I think you gave her a bit of a special gift by listening to her.
But your squirrels are red, too, I guess? Great Britain has the grey ones, right.
Well my birds found a better "Café", I guess, I haven´t seen them in weeks. But if I remove the sticks the darn pigeons take the food. They are fat enough plus considered a plague.
Oh, well, the lady made my day, too, win-win it was then :-)
The squirrels are quite different from what we have here.

The squirrel family are adorable Iris. I think you are more confident than you think, you often chat to people you meet in queues etc. and they enjoy the conversation 💙

I always enjoy seeing squirrels, although I know that not everyone likes them .

In Germany they are not considered as pest, so I guess here everybody likes them :-)
