Despite the very icky, rainy, sad weather Ingo agreed to walk to the (more or less) new Markthalle, some 4.something km one-way away yesterday.
Yah... signposts, pffft. You maybe need them in Lakeside Joondalup, but not here...

What´s new is that it´s dark, oh, wow, great idea...
It was a disappointment.
You can eat out there, though (if you look for a tiny eatery, that is).
On the way back Ingo mentioned that one of our blogger-friends might recognize this house (near Otto von Guericke-Straße)...
Lifts don´t work anymore etc, etc, yet two parties seem still to live there.
Every now and then it´s in the local news debating if to tear it down or not.
Oh, what an unwelcoming place this is!!

We stopped at the lille military shop US-Depot cause Ingo wanted to have trousers with pockets on the side for our journey.
I asked the fella if they have some in my size.
He asked me to open my coat, had a look, and... gave me one pair that fit at once.
Wow.
Well, it was too long, as it´s men´s size and he was a tad bemused when Ingo said he´ll make them fit, just gotta take out his sewing machine :-)
In June I marched with soldiers some 20km (OK, after 18 I had to fight my way on...), now these 10km - with breaks, too - brought me to my limit :-(

Well. Markthalle? Done, not again.
The guy at US-Depot told us one of his friends likes the place. He goes there, buys a bottle of wine, pays some extra €5 to get it opened to have a glass there and takes the rest home.
Five Euro for that?! Bites me.

At least we went outside despite the weather.
We got trousers for travelling and my Polar said 223%, 21 968 steps, 14.8 km and 2095 calories burned.

You marched 20k and call yourself unfit because you were tired after? Ummm, I'm not sure I could do 10 before hips and feet gave out. Do not sell yourself short!

20 was in June, there I was fit, now it was 10 with breaks and it was too much, nearly...

That's sad about the building Iris. We still lived there for 1 year, and our other friends that live in Perth that you also met also lived there. I wonder how they let it fall into that state?
I think back then it wasn't popular either because it was so tall!
Yes, Sami, Ingo was thinking of you coming to Braunschweig and having a not so nice apartment at first.
