In my defense...
The police book is for my FIL. He served as a young man as police officer in Braunschweig.
Later he became a superintendent and even caught a trainee at my parent´s business who stole jewelry (this was long before Ingo and I became a couple).
Now I really can put my kindle to the side, I have enough "real" books to read!
Dangerous shops, dangerous!!! ;-)

I agree, too many to choose, although two that I enjoyed so much were James Clavell's 'Shogun' and Rosamund Pilcher's 'The Shell Seekers'. So good 💙 Enjoy reading, real books are the best ✨
I couldn't possibly decide an all-time favorite book. Maybe one or two in each genre? Even that would be close to impossible!
I love "real" books too, nothing like turning the pages of a book.

If I had to pick a favourite book, it would be The Killer Angels by Michael Shaara. It tells the story of the Battle of Gettysburg through the eyes of some of the commanders.
