I´m taking a lille Perth-break to give you an insight into our life now, here, in Germany, where Spring hasn´t really sprung yet, but tries it´s best!
I was very surprised to find this fella standing so strong and green, a forgotten chive!
And then I looked up:
This neighbour!!! He´s always so generous! From late November way into January he makes me happy with this star on his balcony.
Right by my window, too!
Well, but look:
See title, isn´t this amazing? Just the other day we had 3C - in the middle of the day!!!
Night likely much colder, too! And still!
This was quite a fear of mine, that they might die, but T said, no way, they´re wood-strawberries, they´ll survive - and he was right!
A look out of our kitchen-windowe proves:
Spring struggles itself free, not long now, officially it´s March 31st, so... take it easy, right!

Yep spring is certainly in its way in your part of the world. Here in Australia we register the change from season from the 1st of the month rather than the 21st. Something to do with the tilt of the earth's axis.
Yes, the axis - the first time I came to Australia I was astonished how your shadow is right beneath you!
What a heartwarming sight the new spring buds Iris, and the daffy bulbs, gorgeous. Spring is a spirit lifter of the prettiest kind. As for chives, I think they could survive anything 😀
