My Lille Big One
To those of you who expected big news.
I am sorry!!!
My big is other than yours.
Oh, how often did I sit with people, be it just colleagues or a rare friend, for lunch and there was this woman.
Or this man.
All by himself.
There was sadness and admiration in me.
Sad the person is by himself, admiration he goes out and has a yummy meal anyways.
I thought I could never do this, now look.
Ingo is 7 1/2 years older than me and blablabla, I can knock over with a heart attack or stroke or getting hit by a car....
But eventually, I thought, I´ll have to brave up.
HA!
I don´t even remember what went wrong but I hopped off the CAT in anger and after strolling around I got thirsty.
You can get water for free every now and then in Perth but I needed something cold.
And went to the Brass and ordered a Little Creatures Pale Ale, a Pint, too!
And, surprise!!! (Not)
No one said, "hey, look, she´s on her own!!! No one with her! How sad! What did she do?"
No one gave a ... I grew up.
I took my time and I admit, a was a tad surpised upon my dumbness and a bit proud I overcame it, too.
Those who know me personally know and respect (thank you!) that I hate being on the phone.
HAHA! So much so, my therapist (I hate this, but to be honest I have a therapist and she did not help in this one, either), well, she wrote me an e-mail because "I know you hate being on the phone".
HAHA.
It´s a bit blurry (pic taken in Freo), but my wish is to be more brave. Or... normal.
When Ingo forgot the backback I had to phone and the people, it was a Sunday night, were grumpy at first but turned out friendly and helpful because I was.
Friendly, not helpful, me ;-)
My doc is sick and the receptionist was like, "I can´t help you now!!!!" but in the end she did.
My "I hate the phone" is off my list!
You may say, gaaaahhhh, that´s her "success"?!
Yes.
This is a huge success for me!
I need to relax more.
And baby-steps are steps, too. Right :-)
No lion as these are Perth pics. Be glad, Perth is so much better than Braunschweig!

I relate to this. There was a time when I wanted to be with people whenever I was out somewhere, then one day I realised I didn't have that need any more and was perfectly happy eating/drinking by myself. The only person noticing was me I think.
Introspection is good. Cheers!
Baby steps are good Iris :)
As you know, if I had to be with Jose all the time I wouldn't go anywhere as he works away, so I had to make the effort and now I'm just at ease on my own.
Have a nice Sunday.
Joan, thank you, maybe I thought I am more important than I am ;-)
magiceye, yes, and cheers!
Sami, yes, I am so with you! As in.. I "know".. now!
Generally speaking, dining out with others is an exception for me instead of a rule.
I go places alone all the time and it doesn't bother me at all.
Thank you William and Lois, as said, it is dumb to think people think ...
I like it, it tastes very good. My favourite beer comes from a drug manufacturing ! Very tastefull!
Brava Iris, I knew you could do it. I have faith in you to grow more courageous each day xox
That sounds funny, Nancy!
Thank you, Grace! xox
First time I did that a big success for me too. I thought I'd stick out but no one cared! And I was much happier. Traveling alone you have to get used to it. Three cheers for you. I'd call that a victory!
Thank you, Jeanie, I feel tempted to cheer to you, too, where´s a beer? ;-)
