Got this thank-you-chocolate heart from the "good" grocery at the beginning of the year.
Don´t like sweets, it sits, as the Easter-chocolate-bunny from W, in the board...
Ingo isn´t allowed sweets from doctor´s order so... Nieces do not visit, hmmmm.
But it´s nice, eh, love is always good...

And just yesterday Ingo asked me which size I had at a shop he ordered the summer-Gurri for me to order another surprise... aaaaargh!

They had a report, not on Corinna, but on... Groundhog day!!!! In the official news! And for years I thought it´s but a movie!

Yes, Iris. Phil, the groundhog is very famous. The mayor of the town brings him to the town square after the prediction. Unfortunately, he is only right about half the time.
I love chocolates. Yeah! All we need is love. I don't know whether I could handle that big chopper. The knives look sharp. Ingo must be a very good chef. Awww ...love the Henry hug.

Our nearest groundhog getting put through this by a bunch of idiots in top hats is a fellow named Wiarton Willie.
The original small animal "weather forecasters" were in Germany! The German immigrants to Pennsylvania transferred their custom to the groundhog around 200 years ago. The European/religious holiday is Candlemas. There are other groundhogs in the US and Canada -- less famous than Phil-- that have a better record of "predicting" if we will have 6 more weeks of winter. Here in Michigan we almost always have 6 more weeks of winter after Feb. 2.

My wife gets crazy for chocolate, I don't ....
I often make her find chocolates in the various rooms of the house. she always complains: "I don't want to put on weight" but after one minute all the chocolate has been eaten!

Groundhog Day is an insane tradition in North America that just doesn't want to die.
Lovely! The Beatles song took me back. Hadn't heard it in a long time. I can even remember the days when you could by 45s. Remember those? One song on each side (A and B sides). I think "Baby, You're a Rich Man" was on the B side.
That is a great assortment of cutters - I have a cleaver like that big one, it used to belong to my father and he would use it when butchering an animal.
Punxsutawney Phil, the groundhog who predicts whether we will have 6 more weeks of winter or an early Spring is a very big deal especially where he lives in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. All the news channels add a bit of the festivities on Ground Hog's Day. Something fun while we all wait for 6 more weeks of Winter.

No groundhogs in Germany. I believe that is where the people who started this "tradition" are from. But I doubt this groundhog and a shadow is anything more than a fun game. Hope it was a good Thursday. Happy Friday!
