Whew, this morning I put my cell in my trousers-pocket, put the car-key on top, grabbed my bag for work and plastic to dispose - it´s right in front the door.
Grabbed my car-key, heard a tiny thump, stepped on something, walked on, stopped, tried to have a look - it´s still dark when I leave the house....
Yeah, lucky me, huh? Really was my cell! Not prepaid... (and not broken, either!).
Germany... the master in recycling landed the most stupid coup ever in Braunschweig.
Before we had huge containers for plastic, glass and paper in public places.
Now we have a bin for plastic - and stuff (cause they burn it anyways instead of recycling?) - in front of the house, hmm, can´t wait for the smell in summer and most bins are full in no time, too.
There are aslso bins for paper in front of the house - if you have the space, that is!
Turned out the tree in front of the house doesn´t belong to the house, so the always more than full bins... vanished.
It´s as simple as that!
At the big grocery store the paper-container is gone cause... you have the bins in front of your house, right?
So I drove with the paper around for two weeks till I found a public container and a place to park the car - it´s right in front of the construction site.
But, well, as said, my lucky day, huh? After all the luck we took a chance and visited Moe.
Perth is reserved, not booked yet, but chances are good teamleader/chef will give their OKs.
Moe also said Emirates are horribly and reserved us proper planes.
And no, we didn´t go to Springfield for this, Moe is our neighbour who has a travel-agency :-)

Your recycling system sounds a wee bit complicated Iris.. you mean they burn the recycled stuff in the bins right where they are?

They collect all the seperately recycled stuff, drive to one factory where they burn it illeagal. By chance or research cases are detected, it´s just frustrating to know it happens at times, you have all the work and space to provide for nothing.
And then look at China, India and all the places that pollute the world so massively - little Germany makes no real difference even if it would be all recycled the right way...
Great you have a map, we´re on the way to get the next trip done now!
