De-Li-Cious

So we went to a good butcher and got a high-quality piece of meat.
Not too much - it was a first for Ingo.

He marinated the piece and then put a glovie in the oven.

Ok, that was just to really get the perfect temperature. Our cheapy sure isn´t that exact...

In the meantime he gave the meat some color - that´s when I left the kitchen, cause... hot - me: No-go.

The good piece then went into the oven for several hours.

Let me tell you... brining is the new cooking in da house!
Never ever have I eaten something so yummy!

Drool! Awww, SO yum!

At first I said even more yum than this:

But, frankly. No.
Different. Yummiest, yes, but different.
I could just die for Terriory Jerky!

I opened up THE LAST PACKAGE we smuggled in - literally.

Australia never had an issue with BSE, yet being connected to Great Britain.. oh, great. Germany, how stupid are you?

Ingo opened up an alternative :-)

Yet... Argh! NT Jerky is so dang yummy as well!

I admit. I´m a carnivore :-)

If you care about the salad-thingy, please read the comment to this post - thanks Grace, I am a happy salad now (still a tad afraid of Big´s words not coming true...)

I also seem to eat less meat nowadays...

I sure hope it was more tasteful than jerky. :-)

Grace, it´s sad I don´t like fish that much - so healthy!

Sami, we don´t eat much meat otherwise, either...

Revrunner, try Northern Territory Jerky - it´s totally different from the American (Jack Link´s) one we have over here! Or the Western Australian! Not that "juicy" and also totally different to biltong.

I've NEVER tried beef jerky!! One day ... I'd be leaving Ingo to do the cooking now if it turns out like THAT!
