I hope you were never bothered with Modern Talking or their song Cheri Cheri Lady (wait for the refrain in hiiiigh pitched voices, brrrr).
This can happen when Germans try to sing English and want to use French words with it.
Instead of "chérie" (with accent aigu and an "e", as far as I know a lady is female after all) they blurt out "cherry" and I always had to think of cherries when this awful song was played on the radio.
I hope you are not a Modern Talking fan, otherwise I might´ve just offended you and in that case I´m very sorry - people like different styles, I am aware of that (reckon the chances are very, very low, though ;-)...).

No offence taken, but I used to enjoy Modern Talking in my younger days when we lived in Germany. Their songs were so cheerful 😄😄 "You're my heart, you're my soul" and "Brother Louis" were my favourites.

I don't know the song -- and that may be a good thing! But I do love cherry blossoms -- it's always sad to see them go (and the dandelions arrive!)

I think I heard this tune back in the day. I thought the geezers were British or something. It never occurred to me that they were German. Have no idea why. Well, that's 80s for you! :-) Great pics.

Oh! I really was not aware Modern Talking-music was liked. But in general I didn´t like the 80´s much...
I always enjoy seeing cherry blossoms ... hate it when we have windy or rainy days and they get knocked off the trees.
Enjoy their colour while we can.
