The Same

We ALWAYS got the same, Bro and I.
Two chocolate Easter bunnies, two Kinder... no matter I am much older ;-)

Maybe this was one reason:

My Dad made a "Baby-paper" - back in the 70´s men stayed home (and got drunk) whilst the woman delivered the baby.
Eventually, the to-be-Dad got creative.

And later "friends" came by and signed the paper.
These guys - and I was an accident that was not gotten rid of in Denmark like most of my kind...

These guys dared to write they wish me a golden childhood any my parents a "golden son" next year.

True!

Friends come and GO, right?
Never met them...

I was an accident and "just" a girl and our parents tried to treat us as same.
Yet!
I got to study, I got to travel. (Bro got the opportunitiy but... Route #66 is still waiting!) "Just" a girl.
"The Same" - they did try.
One took it, the other one didn´t. I should´ve ... I should have! Now it´s too late...

He didn´t even get a "book".

He didn´t make one, either, he was with his wife when she gave birth, btw.
Times are a changing and nothing stays the same ;-)

Good on you for 'taking the opportunities' Iris. Sometimes siblings want completely different things from life, whatever makes you happy is the right choice☺

Great of your parents to treat you both the same way.
Happy Easter Sunday Iris.
