Back then (1984) when they... when I had to sign I might loose the function of my right hand - all went well but my arm looked like a Cordon Bleu (hmmm, yum ;-)...).
Ingo wanted to take a pic and in the aftermath I´m mad at myself I didn´t let him do it cause when people now tell me the scars look "bad"... Cordon Bleu!
My ear is gone, though..
It´s horrible, even worse than the arm back then!

The hearing will probably come back Iris, but you should maybe go to a specialist and have it checked.
Just recently when I had my eyes checked they also checked my hearing (new service at the eye clinic) and nothing wrong with my hearing, but I too can't make out what is being said in a noisy space. Don't despair...

How did it come about that the gun was fired so close Iris? Are you saying that you fired it and if yes .. why?
Well, Grace, I somehow got it wrong, I´m a "newbie" and actually I do not want to have it at all! You have to pull the upper part to yourself and one bullet fell out. I pulled the trigger thinking it was empty and had it near my ear. BOOM.
No idea if I will give it another go cause if someone really threatens me (and they´re never alone!) I´d have to say "wait, I need to check all steps I have to take" and then I´d jump because it´s so loud so it´s practically useless.
I´ll have my panic light, pepper foam and such a noisey thing with be, think that´s a better idea.
And avoid lonely places (hard as the last bit to our home simply is lonely).
