Two Sides
On one hand people - everywhere, too! - encourage me to take a break.
I worked and had many a private bad encounter "at the side line" (as probably many of you had, too, parents dying, partners nearly, too, etc, etc).
The lady at the work agency said I need a big break and doctors (plural) agree.
And you get used to it, too!
Or - to tell the truth! - citalopram took my life away for more than two months!
I am still not half as fit as I was before!!!!
And then... I have to face .. no understanding - from the closest person in my life.
"You stay at home all day".
That hurts. So bad.
And from a person who "suffered" the same, too.
I try to get back on track, I do.
A stupid introvert, me.
I cannot remember names OR faces well.
I am "old".
Great features to get a new job. (not).
There are no "Dipl.-Ing."s anymore. thanks, Angela Merkel.
I have been told I have no "nothing" (I´m a graduated engineer!).
So... what is next in for me.
Working hours: 05:45 am - 1:45 pm... a LUXURY I will not get back.
6 weeks off every two years to go to Perth... I will not get that back.
16 YEARS I was allowed to show I can do a more than a good job so the 9-5 customer agrees to my life-style.
Plus one year to kill me finally. 17 years I worked for that company and always loved it, too - till the new "boss" came...
I know.
People get sick - I lost both parents to cancer, I do know.
Haha, who is next? Genes, huh...
But, hey.
I am sick and tired.
My right ear kills me with that constant swoosh.
No Lion today.
In German it is: Ich mag nicht mehr.

You sound a wee bit down Iris, don't let the cold weather get to you, not long before you will be in Perth 🌻 There doesn't seem like much point in even looking for a job until after your holiday. Try to keep positive. Can you do some volunteering, such a good thing to do if you have the time ✨
Well, Grace, yes, my ear is killing me and the weather... The state can go after me, too, if I simply leave for Perth, I need a plan for that.
But you are right - I won´t be available for the job market unless we´re back from Perth!
Oh dear you sound sad. There is usually light at the end of the tunnel. Give yourself some time to recover - Perth will be good for you.
I´m all good again (apart from that ear and my stupid fears), thank you. I look so forward to Perth indeed!
