Today I take you to Rotto for a change, Rottnest Island.
It was a beautiful hot day in February and we found this wonderful mural (again by Robert Jenkins) at Thomson´s.
Pizza, you might ask? Yes, have a look!
It was too hot to eat, though, but, being German, we had a refreshing beer and when you have that at some point you have to go and hence I can show you "the" photo I found in the loo:
Yes, after so many Perth-visits we finally made it to Rotto so see the cute Quoakkas for real!
My big Niece later was unimpressed and just said it looks like a huge rat.
Well, consider huge rats as cute then :-)
You´re not supposed to touch them and we did not. But we showed this one our Mielebär.
Mildly impressed only ;-)

That's a cute mural Iris. Even though I'm petrified of rats I love quokkas, they are so cute, maybe it's just in the name.

Sometimes I'm SO dense. It took forever for me to realize these were all from the same mural. It's a real gem and a super find. Totally impressed, especially the man eating the pizza.
I'd never heard of a Quoakka, much less seen one. The photo on the wall in the loo looks so different from the Quoakka that was introduced to your bear. I used to have one of those bears too, but mine came free with fabric softener. I learn SO much when I visit your blog!

Yes, the photo in the loo really is THE perfect, cute photo! I think you need a lot of patience to get one smiling that big :-)

I love the murals and the wee creature!
Never heard of Rotto before. I do like Pizza but I have trouble with dairy. The tuna mural reminds me of anchovies and which I do like.

The quokkas are so cuuuute Iris, Aimee went with a friend from England a few weeks ago, the whole purpose of the day was to get a quokka pic 😁 Love the mural xx
