14:36 the bell rang - on a Friday! Poor guy! Valentine´s Day, too!
He did his job.
I sneak in some pics from the therme and the side, so you don´t fall asleep...
Plus, two subjects, a potpourrie, if you like.
And then... we chatted! Like for 45 minutes plus!
Ingo nearly forgot to give him a tip (I gently kicked Ingo...), it was fun! (Not the kicking, the chat!!!)
The man had been in the Navy (marine, in German?), visited so many countries, it was amazing to listen to all his stories!
Oh, the "poor" man went home rather late (but happy, I reckon).
His wife is Chinese (and likely to loose her job, too :-( ...)
OH! And me... Ingo said: Tell that woman (from the job agency) off!!!!
I did not, it´s not her fault, I was nice and in the end she wished me a Happy Valentine´s Day even.
Let´s see what happens.
Some people are jerks and deserve a harsh word. Some people have but a choice and being nice - sincerely nice, that is - can (and hopefully will) help.
Her snail-mail was .. not really friendly. Her answer to my e-mail was :-)
The "cold, precise, nagging" German can be nice.

Giving and taking, sometimes I feel I´m giving first "always", but then ... that´s being mature, right?

**Addendum #2: On River´s article on sauce I present you the very clever sauce (container) I got in Perth:
We were out and about with friends to Margeret River and had a yummy lunch.
Sauce is the same as sweets, I´m not a fan, but this principle is so clever, I took it home - this was 2015 and we still do not have that here in Germany!!!
Luckily I´m no fan, reckon it´s times of "best before" are done...

Tom!!! :-) He did not charge that time! LOL, Certainly not! We may be Germans but not THAT German!
And, yes, you tip! When you´re a normal person you honour their work and tip. That´s part of their income. Yes, getting that thing in the needle... I need help (and I have a tool for that, I´m.... German ;-)...).
What is that big white thing that looks like a refrigerator and why does it has a heating/cooling duct coming from it and out the wall? Is that your heater?
I used to sew, many years ago, I made clothes for the children, mostly for the girls and maternity dresses for me, sometimes I made regular clothes for me, but now I make nothing, maybe mend/patch a tear in something and I take up the hems on pants that are too long because I am only 5 feet tall. My mother and mother-in-law were both dressmakers, the MIL even made entire wedding outfits, even the mem's suits. My older daughter sews also, but not much now my grandchildren are grown. My grand daughter, is an artist with the sewing machine, so very clever.
River, yes, that is our heating-system! Cooling, haha, funny you, in Germany! Brrrr!
I´m not much taller than you, Ingo always has to shorten my men´s trousers (women´s these days are those super-"dumb" ones).
Dressmakers, wow! A buttton is all I manage, sadly. At school the teacher was so... I turned to the boys and worked with wood.
I never want to hear again that I talk too much ... you chatted for 45 minutes!!! No way! LOL
I can sew very well, but the needle has recently become difficult to thread. I need two glasses! LOL

Lovely how you spent Valentine's Day. The poor repair man may have been late, but apparently he did his job and got your heat going so now you don't freeze. We don't tip like that in the states. Service people charge so much, anyway, you can't afford to tip (grin).

I've never seen what that sauce is! Interesting about tipping handymen. They don't do that here (but they do charge. A lot!) My oven installer guy was chatty too. I wasn't sure if he was charging or not so I did my best to let him do his thing and not invite too much conversation, but still be friendly. It worked out OK but it was expensive to install. Rick was going to pay for the whole thing for my Christmas gift but I told him to only pay half because it was just too much.
Appliances vary so much in appearance. Your heating system does look very much like an American refrigerator, but I’m pretty sure we always have bigger furnaces and bigger fridges. My French friend used to say that Americans needed more space although they kept no food, only fizzy drinks. But in fact Americans usually shop less frequently so they need room for all the prepared foods they buy. In my limited observation of American furnaces, which are usually in a basement area, they are not white but usually a dark color. Why? Probably some 19th century decision that was never revisited.

Here you are, able to talk to a complete stranger for forty five minutes. I have days, when I'm not working, where I might not say more than twenty words all day.
Those are the "new" sauce packets and don't always work as expected with too many people getting sauce everywhere except on the food. The "old" packets you had to peel back the foil and pour the sauce or dip your food into it. I'd say that sauce is definitely too old now, it is no longer even tomato coloured. I suggest you throw it away.

River, what? That must´ve been 2015 or even 2013, my friends still had their boat. I have it just as a souvenier, I will definitively never eat that, LOL!
Not that I use them but I know some sauce sachets are not easy to open … mind you sometimes any packaging can be difficult.
