I remember 2010, Mum, Bro and I sat in a street café in my old home town and Mum pointed to an "old woman", asking if I recognize her. I did not.
Was G. I remember she sang in church and all, wonder what had happened?! Drugs? Sad, I did not go over, I did not want to find out.
She lived in "my" hometown, too, but they had a little farm there, chicken roaming free and... her Granpa!
I had none, I had no idea (was maybe 3 years old) men can grow old, too, I got scared, LOL!
That poor man!!! He tried to be friendly and I ran off, screaming!
Must be the genes. My Mum did the same when her Dad (!) came home from Russian prison of war.
Imagine that. He went through all the pain and his 4-year old Daughter runs off, screaming after he addressed her by name.
He was very thin, my Mum told me, a long, red beard, near to no hair on his head (oh, hello Bro! The genes).

We never went along well. I´m no dog person. She loved my Brother...
I was not even 5 when they "sold" her to me as a "bigger cat".
Anyhows, after I got pics from customer P´s cats, two black beauties, and some purring via MS teams... I was really sad when I left Siemens and the cats and P, she really was a clever, funny one, she helped me big and I owe her. Thanks to Corinna we never met and now sadly lost contact. She used to call me "my love", LOL. Love is fading, sadly, but I´m no girly-girl-person so maybe in real life we would not have matched, I sadly had this with two no-longer blogger friends.
Then at Alstom I talked to teamleader M (project Denmark). And he started sushing!!! Turned on the cam and there she was - a beautiful, old lady, right by his side, looking and purring at "me".
Well, Friday teamleader N (project Frankfurt) suddenly went, "shut off!!!!"
I was like.... huh?! YOU called ME!!!
He has... a cat 😁😻
She one day stood in front of the door, he told me, and she never left.
It seems that´s the closest I come to cats. They´re luckily very talkactive, all, teamleaders and cats 🤣
One day, I tell you, one day I´ll have a cat or two...

PIL have one, too, a boxer. Let her near you and you get LICKED. Not once... And she has a huge, very wet tongue, too.
I´d even prefer a "love-bite" from a cat. Maybe not from you, Henry...
Yes, two posts again. My mind is set on Monday already.
N, team Frankfurt, and I will play WALL-E (Wiki: "Waste Allocation Load-Lifter: Earth-Class (WALL-E)") again. 07:30 and again I´ll start with the first clean out at 06:00 am.
It´s truly amazing how crazy and wrong a project can go.
What we found Friday was... I nearly cried, also because "the boss" blindly signed documents that were simply wrong! 06:00 am I´ll be at that. And, being external, I will not say a nasty word.
If I get a chance... will I hop on that tram in Frankfurt?!
For sure not if the wind takes a speed of 120 km/h... then the Pantograph looses contact!!!!
(Who sends out a tram in that weather anyways. But the German checks it just in case!!! 🤣🤣🤣)

We have 2 cats, I have grown up with them from birth but I've also had dogs too, they are so different from each other.

There are some dogs that can lick you so much it's like a second shower! Dogs are great friends, but licking and leg-humping are behaviours I could do without!

I love dogs and I love cats. I am one of those weird people who is not more of one than the other. They are just so different, how can you pick? And I know what you mean about some people aging more. I ran into a former student at a gas station once, and she looked soooooo old. I literally figured it was drugs or a very hard life or both. And she was probably at least 20 years younger than me. I do think genetically some people age better than others. Everyone tells me I have my Dad's skin, and he didn't really age in his face, just got grey and bald. Even though my Mom didn't age badly either except for grey hair. Enjoy what's left to your weekend Iris. Hugs-Erika
I prefer cats.
I like both cats and dogs but prefer cats maybe because we always had kids since I was a kid. Only when we got married did we get dogs, but when we moved to Portugal it was back to cats and then Australia, cats again! They seem to be attracted to me, always adopting strays :)
Sadly Twiggy is a "scary cat" and not too social.

Himself prefers dogs to cats. I don't like dogs as I was once bitten by a German shepherd. I prefer cats and Himself has learned to like cats.
I like all animals, but not much on snakes and rodents

I'm much more a cat person than a dog person, and get a lot of enjoyment out of my son's two cats. I hope one day you will have a cat all to yourself.
