I love strawberries too and while they are sweet, sort of, they are not sugary sweet like chocolates and lollies, or cakes.
Poppies aren't my favourite flower, but I don't really know what is. I like roses and frangipani blossoms, marigolds too.
I picked two strawberries yesterday and was so excited! I am hoping to find a few more today. I love that they were your mom's.

B's daughter lives in Perth, apparently the house prices there are very reasonable, makes me wonder if we should be there instead
Strawberries are the best!!! We are so lucky because they are picked here in Florida in February and March! Early in the year -- because it is HOT here!! And then when it gets too hot to live here (people do, but I am not sure how), we go home to Oregon -- and in June and July strawberries are in season! So we get two times to enjoy the fresh sweetness. How lucky we are!!! Henry looks so happy in this post and the one before. I'm glad!!
