Enchantment (Under The Sea?)

 

  

My entry for Elle´s theme for today is a true story that dates back to 2006.

We were in our first cabin from 1999 in, back then Wanneroo (now it´s called Madely),  a northern suburb of Perth, Western Australia.

 

It was Christmas and STINKING hot!

No aircon.

 

 

We watched, yupp, see sketch, Back to The Future. 

We were not hungry at all but at some point you need to eat, right.

 

So I went to Maccas, a 5 minutes walk away.

And remembered, on the first morno I saw that in Australia they don´t have (only?) marmalade, but also Vegemite for brekkie! 

 

My back then teamleader had ordered it via amazon and it was awful.

So we thought... who knows, maybe got warm, hence bad?

 

It was Christmas Eve and we were about to leave soon, so I gave it a go and asked for a sample- in the evening.

 

I had to explain three times, behind me by then a queue of Aussies and Poms discussing what is better, Vegemite or Marmite and in the end I went home with 25 samples and 2 cold burgers.

Ingo was really worried by the time, LOL.

No one was mad at me!!

 

I gave one to my teamleader when we were back in Germany, Ingo made a mobile of twelve, that moved twice, the rest after 10 years I had to throw away cause it smelled bad.

 

That was my  "Enchantment under the (Maccas) Arches!
