My entry to Elizabeth´s T-Day - a drink out of hell, more to that later...
Journal - anyone join me sometime?
It really is... "soothing" and you know what you´ve done!
Time is running so fast, days speed by, this helps me.
You think same ole same but with this you get the high- or down-lights (I spare you the latter 😉)
Monday: Work and Ingo´s bread, that was all.
Well, nearly. Two more street finds. As if I don´t have enough books!!!!
And I got some yummy (fast) food. ATM too much work for proper cooking.
Tuesday: I pimped the fast food and really had trouble to not make a second batch!
But was left hungry, so, since we have a new Miele-Microwave I defrosted two chili-cheese cookies. And cried.
Does chili get hotter when you freeze and reheat it???
No wonder our W back then took but one bite, holy-moly, that thing was HOT!!!
2 sessions with D.
Wednesday: Crumbled the second cookie into the Kaasspatzen or Käsepätzle (South-German noodles). Still hot, LOL. And the week before Ingo told me into buying another bunch of these meanies, now what to do?! One tiny chili and a whole milkshake gets hot to the brim!
Thursday: After a weird dream about a special document Teamleader set up a meeting upon it,finally.
I was at that in August!
We found no solution!
Two sessions with D.
Friday: Teamleader invited me 8:30 to solve the darn problem. Nope. Lunch-time we gave up, our "Mt Everest", as I jokingly called it, is too high...
I asked him to talk to the manager come Monday.
3:something he asked me to translate another document. OK, was a short one, but really, on a Friday?! (I start at 06:00 am and there is logistic behind that, too).
And why do we have a translation company? 🤣🤣🤣
Well, we´re a team, right, give and take.
No more power for sport.
Weekend:
Saturday - nice sleep in and I got quality paper to sketch on.
And I got Charlotte´s Web!!!!
It was high up, so I had to ask a guy in the store (Halloween-deco). He grabbed the one I pointed at and said, "oh, no, this was opened before, I get you a good one!"
Yay to nice men!!!!
The sun was shining - a good day to be outside.
Later American Football. Sadly with three German dumbheads commenting.
They think they are so funny. They are not.
And let´s not talk about their hair- and beard-cuts.
Sound off most of the time. And then I switched to another program even.
Every year they get dumber it seems.
Sunday:
Maus and new fairy tale. Sketching an´ stuff, time for myself, so needed.
The job is... exhausting.
The team is wonderful!!!
But I had no holiday since November last year and I think it shows now.
I´m tired. Despite the sport I picked up on.
Art-wise I wish for this next year:
Henry 🦁
Look around, we do VERY well!

Your journal remains fun. I always get so inspired and then tend to do it myself. But I really, really, really can't draw
I could not, either! Try and it will get better!
Sounds like Henry you do need a rest, what a busy week! You're very brave to freeze chillis as yes it does make them hotter; "Capsaicin is insoluble in water, so when you freeze chili peppers, the capsaicin becomes more concentrated. This means that, when you thaw and eat the chili, it will be hotter than it was before you froze it" - hot, hot hot 🔥. Loving Mount Everest and your beach art is gorgeous, so creative and inspirational! Roar and Happy T Day! Hugs Jo x
Jo, OH!!!!
So I at least didn´t give W a super-mega hot-cookie!
I had no idea! Just thought, my, last time was not THAT hot. LOL!
I have Friday off, yay (and Monday is a public holiday!
I'm surprised that chili peppers become hotter when frozen, and really appreciate Jo's explanation. I guess I have never frozen a raw one, only done so after cooking. And I always remove the seeds before I cook them.
Sorry it blew your head off!
best... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Hey Iris, you were too quick for me today, I forgot to add my porridge photo for you, but you had already visited. Baked oats might be the way to go for you (see my photo). Yes I think you're right that chilli gets hotter when frozen and defrosted, I noticed that too. Your journal is fab as always, you got a charlotte's web decoration for Halloween? Cool. I hope you can get some time off soon. Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx
Mae, it was in a baked cookie!!! HOT! Owwww.
I broke the second cookie into three pieces to help along three dishes of Kässpätzle!Crazy!
Question 1-you didn't put those hot peppers into the smoothie did you? And I have been cleaning books these past couple of weeks and found my Charlotte's Web book also. Now I want to read it again as it has been a long time. Nice journal. I haven't shown mine in a long time, but I am still doing a few drawings each day, recording my life...it's not very exciting most times. I hope you are having a great T day Iris. Hugs-Erika
Busy week!
Charlotte's Web is such a wonderful book and movie. My children loved it for a time when they were younger.
Sounds like you need a break. I hope that you are able to make it to the beach sometime. I loved your word art and your journal pages this week.
Chili's are something I love, but in small quantities. I have never heard of chili cheese cookies and I couldn't find them when I looked them up. Is it a German thing? Chili in cookies sounds good but I don't think I would enjoy them in a smoothie.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
Oh yeah chilies do get hotter when you freeze them. LOL I love reading and seeing your journals. Iris, have a lovely day today.
Elle, I hop over :-)
I had no idea about the chili!!!
Friday is a day off, yay!!!! xx
____
Erika, OMG, no! One tiny chili only, but that was enough!!!!!
Yes, I have the book here for the big Niece still! Maybe, though, I keep it. She hates learning English and reckon soon she is too oöld for the dsubject (boys or girls, whatever, might be more her thing).
Please share your journal, can´t be more boring than mine! Work, sport, that´s it, basically! Hugs :-)
____
Jackie, yes. Nothing more to add...
But it´s OK!
____
Kate, oh, there is a movie, too on Charlotte?
Cookies, yes, German recipe here, Deepl or such can help :-)
Oh, it was yummy in a banana milk-shake - for someone not into sweets ;-)
____
Nicole, thank you and have a wonderful day there, too!
I love your calendar journal. Mine is so bland compared to yours and your incredible drawings. I am sorry you are tired. I know how demanding work can be, but at least you don't have to travel too far to get there (grin). Thanks for sharing your wonderful art and your great drinks with us for T this Tuesday. Let's hope you get some beach time next summer.
I always enjoy your journal pages. It is a good idea because sometimes I can't even remember what I did yesterday.
You stay so busy! I like the pirate mug :) Happy T Tuesday
Another busy week. I'd be like W with those chili cookies. I don't like hot and spicy. I'm sweating just thinking about those peppers! Happy T Day
Nice journal entries. Hot peppers are cool if ou can stand the heat. :)
I do like your journal entries.
I do like your pirate mug :)
All the best Jan
PS I did reply to your question on the baked apples post ...

And I do think you helped me big getting here!
I thank you.

RedPat, thank you. Yes, join me!
What I do: I prepare this page day for day :-)
Cause otherwise I forget!
____
Divers and Sundry, the pirate says thank you :-)
____
CJ, yes, he was so polite, though ;-)
I like hot, but not THAT hot, LOL.
_____
Bill, I´m not THAT coool ;-)
____
Jan, ohhhh, thank you, I´ll have a look! The apples still sit here and wait, can you believe that!
____
Sharon, thank you and dito!
Did you buy a web for Halloween or the story book? I have never seen the movie. I don't even buy chillis, I know I can't handle that kind of heat.
I hope your Mt Everest eventually gets climbed (worked out)
I used to love dishes with chilli in but n the last few years I ave found I can't tolerate it. You have had another busy week Iris! Pleased you found time to produce more of your brilliant art! Belated T Day wishes, Chrisx
