Addendum due to River´s comment: Ingo´s parents had a bathtub. I think it was green, also...
But I found out only at age 20-something!
I had a real bathtub in my first apartment, we used it twice.
The next had one, too. We never used it....
And here we had one and threw it out.
Are you a fan of bathing in a tub? My teamleaders are (I know too much! 🤣)

I've always had a bath or a shower in my life. As a child, I thought that was normal. But it wasn't. A lot of people had to go to a bathhouse when I was young. At the moment: no bath. Just a shower. A very comfortable one. I can sit there
We threw out our bathtub and have a shower so different from the 70´s one - no kid could bath in there...
Maybe a dumb decision in the aftermath...

I remember having a bubble bath with my cousin when i slept over. I bathed my girlies in the kitchen sink until they were 4. I ididn’t really like baths so the girls took showers even though we had a tub. When the bathroom was remodeled, I had the tub removed and replaced with a walk in shower. More practical especially now we are older.
We had a bathtub when growing up. My first apartment had a bathtub too. It has been many years since we last had one. We now have showers, tubs scare me now because you can slip and get injured, never thought about it when I was younger.
No tub here either.
Great post. There were 6 kids in my family. We all took baths together. I really don't know how my mom did it.
We had bathtubs when I was very young, then we moved to a house that didn't even have a bathroom, so we took baths in the old zinc tub that mum used for clothes washing. (no washing machine back then) She would stand it in front of the fire and put hot water into it and we took turns until a year later dad closed off part of the back porch and built us a proper bathroom. I think I was a teenager before we got a shower and then it was placed over the tub anyway, not built separate, so learning not to slip was necessary or you could sit in the tub and use the shower.
Now I have a shower but no tub and I really miss being able to have a long soak in hot water to ease the aching muscles.
yup same here, except when my 3 were little once in a while I would bath them as babies in the kitchen sink so I could keep an eye on all of them.
I have two bathrooms and both have a tub and a shower, I like both, but when in a hurry, I prefer a shower.
CJ, glad to know it was not just us with the sink. It was a little... terrifying!
A walk in shower!!! My PIL have that, too! We did not .. we were too dumb. Oh, whatever, we have a big, but normal shower...

Oh, I really hope we did not do a dumb thing throwing out the tub.
I was warned... But then... it was so difficult to get in and out and clean it!

Erika, yes! And now... we take super-quick showers...
My bathroom here is huge, big shower, no bathtub, toilet and basin and on the oppsite wall is the laundry area with sink, washer and dryer. The room is bigger than my kitchen.
