No way to see this face - the carer said she hates people.
I´m still at the owl-book ("What an Owl knows") it goes (too) much into detail.
But here is a cute Detail of an owl-Dad who raised orphans:

Link was also in the book. Owls have mighty, very sharp talons so these two must be real friends - the cat trusts the owl fully!
Critters are "as intelligent as we are" - in their own way.
They can just play, just as we do, also as adults.
A very good, but too long book in my eyes - I after checking the video stayed with YouTube and... cats 😸

Eileen, there is a book about a scientist who found a baby Barn Owl and raised him - Wesley was the name - great book!

I have occasionally seen an owl in trees around here, maybe twice in five years, so VERY occasionally and I think it was probably a "tawny frogmouth". You can google to see what one looks like. I have only ever seen barn owls in books and on TV.
I think they´re really friends, the cat and the owl! I read so much now about owls (and have seen them but in Caversham and Zoo Hanover) - oh, how lucky you are to have seen them in "the wild" for real!
There is a place in Italy where they stay in the city, I learned from the book!!!
Owls sure are (as special as any a) creature(s).
