As I learned so far.... Aussies are not that direct but here really food is meant, from 11 am to 3pm 😉

We care and eat not much meat but if... quality counts.
Eggs... the more expensive ones and male chicks don´t get killed....

I don't understand about the male chicks. Because egg production doesn't involve hatching-- that is the chick production side of things, where eggs are incubated and hatched. All eggs in egg production are sold as eggs with no sexing, as far as I understand. I don't think they even can be sexed until after incubation and hatching. So that sounds like just a way to charge more for the eggs to me.
Unless they mean that when hatching chicks to get laying hens, the male chicks are killed then? That makes sense, if the breed is specifically for egg production. But then what do they do with all those males? Eggers are bred to be small, less meaty hens so that they eat less and are more economical. Which means that the males would not be good for eating either. So what do they do with them?
I am so intrigued with this now, trying to figure out what they do with those male chicks!

I like fresh and wholesome food, wholegrains and fruit ...lot of vegetables. I also love cheese. it's not that easy to get good restaurant food in this style. So, I don't usually pay much to eat out because this style is considered to be just plain food, not a fancy meal! Strange because it can be really wonderful with good ingredients.
It is sad about the male chicks, they could be raised somewhere else and then used for food? I buy free range eggs and they are always delicious and the yolks are deep golden yellow, just like the eggs I used to get from my older daughter when they had chickens.
