A GEM!!!!! Don´t Dream It - Be It!

Memories I do have! 

My "work-husband" mS took me to the show at the TU (Technical University) here in Braunschweig - we sure were fans and he found out the event is open to public - weee did we have fun! 

 

Sadly I lost contact -  I have fond memories of him. 

Instead saying, "if you want to have a ride, come to my home" he came to mine and picked me up!

When I said, "we have a (VW-) trainee, living nearby, would you be willing to take her along, too?" - he said yes. 

Then a new colleague, living nearby (Braunschweig is a large city)... he agreed.

And all met in front of my window.

 

When he didn´t feel well (party-dude, we both were into flat sharing and had weekend-relationships) - he called and offered me his car, a super-expensive Volvo 70 with leather seats and all.

 

I remember one time - "Muffkopp", my age, very "big" - was in love with him.

Just to see him every day she popped into our office to ask if we leave at 4p.m. - mS had no clue why.

 

First time she stood in front of my window and the blinds were up.... I must be on holiday and didn´t tell her? But mS sure will come by as fP was waiting in front of my window, too. 

 

On time the black Volvo rolled in.

Muffkopp (fP gave her that name, not me) must´ve concluded:

 

As I am not there she takes my seat and sits all the way to Wolfsburg right beside mS. 

She ripped the door open with the biggest smile and then... 

... I am sitting in mS´s seat.

That disappointment!!!

I didn´t know if to laugh or.... it was hilarious.

 

I can figure her thoughts... I come with his car from his home... and also he called me "mein Kleines". 

I think everybody thought we have "a thing" - but we didn´t!

So cool, huh? 

mS... thank you for all that you did. Even when he went on holiday  with his pal he gave me his car and they took the old Ford.

We went swimming, to the pub... and on some weekends we spent together he invited Ingo as well.  

And yes, he was/is(?) a very attractive man. And kind. Caring. And if Ingo was not part of my life, who knows... But thankfully Ingo was and is.

 

Here are the heroes -  in the 70´s it sure was brave to "admit" you are not "husband and wife"-like... this may have helped, yet even today some wait to "reveal" how they feel.

Others just say, "my husband..." and no one looks astonished at him.

My French teacher made me sit in the corner when my friend spoke to me - he just looked when I answered! - he threw his keys at pupils and once he locked us in!!!!

The room was ground floor - we went out via window, went to "Aunt Emma" and got ourselves water-ice and "Negerkuss-Brötchen".

The pupils refused to get taught by him.

A hat was the lotto - both French teacher´s names were in it - I got the other... and traded with my friend because.. Herr Böhme was a GOOD teacher, if strict, and hence I still speak a bit of French. 

To the olden times - any stories from you?
